  1. The little hex is cute!!! I keep thinking about bringing my biocube home from work and putting it in my 24 gallon nano. I just can't keep up with water changes at work. Things are still growing and the four fish have been in there for about a year and are doing great. Knowing my luck it will crash if I move it!

    Dena

the little hex is actually missing half of the rock work in that picture (had to remove a large rock to move an anemone to the larger tank)...really need to put it back before I forget

  2. I would do a water change immediately and check for nitrite and ammonia. Then observer your livestock.

definitely test parameters..observe....oh and get a new sister! (not that you have to get rid of this one...but maybe adopt a new one...one who follows instructions) ;)

    I am joking btw...

  3. For living things: I'll go +1 o Xenia

But I do believe that the dead pile: +1 on Turbo's all the way

    -t

hate to dig up an old dead (and stinking) topic

    but

+1(00) for dead turbo stench...my our tank a large guy got killed by a bitchy hermit and was left for dead like a prom night baby, I haven't smelled anything that fowl in a long time....and I have kids

  4. One of these days I'm gonna ask Mike if I can come check out his tank.....I've heard he's got a nice collection.

look for the glowing house in Salado :jump: (you can probably see it glowing from space) and the things he does to utilize every available inch from frags will blow your mind

His creepy brittle starfish he gave us is spawing little heathens all over our tank....

  5. I have a Spectra Pure RO/DI unit with dual TDS meters and love it.

coolbreeze's old kent maxxima on hose bib dual tds meter. added secondary precarbon...sitting on garden hose on front porch....will be installed in laundry room

  6. I've used IO for the past 6 months on my reef. I only dose Seachem Reef Complete about twice per week (mixed reef).

I have a bucket of Reef Crystals that I'm going to try, since I got it on sale, but IO is perfectly fine.

IO dissolves with very quickly with little to no residue.... problem with all commercial salt mixes is the "trace elements" they use are technician grade and that is something you have to get over...or not and buy a salt that that uses reagent grade chemicals (and pay through the nose)

  7. Looks good guys, sorry I wasn't there to help setup. but then again how many hands can you have in a 10gallon at one time? :( now back to work before I get fired

  8. Alrighty everyone, our order is on the way. Should be here by noon according to John. I guess Hobby Lobby is the location. (personally, I think azcummins had a bunch of friends sign up just to vote for that location so he can walk it home. I'm rebagging all his goodies into individual baggies!)

I'll be there at 5p. Silver Nissan Titan 4door, I'll make a sign or something, parked in the middle of the lot.

    Nuthin but love for Gabriel!

so umm. everyone else bring a bucket? or bags or how does this work? (asking for the Capt. who is sick)
