google aiptasia, they are very common and is more than likely what you got on your LR. Peppermint shrimp are known to eat them. They also make chemicals that will murder em.

Aquatek usually has pistol shrimp in stock and on occasion I have seen a goby/shrimp pair.

oooohh...that one's good. Sounds like a "super duper special supplement" that you can market. I'll make the info-mercial. "Do you have problems with coral growth?! Can't get that brown color out of your tank?! Well, today and today only, we are giving not one, not two, but 3 ounces of CM's coral vitalizers. What does CM stand for? 'can't miss 'em'. Yep. Your corals will be SO much brighter after you add just 30 drops a day of CM coral vitalizer, even your non-reef friends won't miss your corals..."
We're in biz. I need a ditzy blond to be the stand in for squirting the supplement in the tank....hmmm...where did I see someone that fit that description...?
You need to hit up Billy Mays with such an amazing product, he will make you rich!

would siphon breaks on the end of the lock lines correct the problem?

Cool! Thanks for the suggestion. I was torn between the maxi jets or a pair of K1's. Going to have to go check out RCA tomorrow.

Congratulations!! That has to be very exciting.

Check out Epic Reef under the sponsor page... should have lots of very nice rock.

I am pretty sure that the tank is a standard 29 gallon (30x18x12). I am going to be keeping mainly softies and possibly try some of the easier LPS and SPS in the future. I think the K3's may be a bit of overkill for my setup right now...unless I upgrade that is Thanks!

If you know the motor itself still works you can just buy a replacement impeller and save a couple dollars to put to another skimmer. Just google Red Sea Prizm replacement pump and it should bring up several options.

Looking for a couple good powerheads, new or used. Something with magnets preferably, let me know what you got and how much you want. Thanks

Two days ago I had a lil' aiptasia genocide in my tank using Blue Vet Aiptasia Control, worked well with no adverse effects. Hope the Pep. works out for ya.
