  1. PRICE REDUCED TO $140.00. So I sold the 29 gallon tank and am dropping the 120 gallon down to $140.
  2. Here is the tank im offering for free with the 120 gallon. I really need this to sell so please make me an offer and PM me. Thanks
  3. I really need this to sell so that I can get the 90 gallon from San Antonio this weekend. I'll go down to $175.00 and will throw in the 20 gallon bow front and stand for free.
  4. Im selling this 29 gallon bow front tank with stand. Also comes with 2 hang on back filters rated for a 20 to 40 gallon tank. There is not a light for the tank. Also the foil on top is to keep the dust out after I cleaned it. I live in New Braunfels so you will have to pick up here or I can meet you in San Marcos. Thanks for looking. Sorry for the side way pics.
  5. Hey everyone. I have this tank for sell that I need gone by this coming weekend. Im getting a 90 gallon tank from a person in San Antonio and do not have from for the both of them. There is nothing wrong with the tank. I have to down grade becuase of space issues in the house. The tank has dual over flows and returns. The following are some pictures of the tank. Sorry I do not have the stand anymore. The only part of the stand that I have is the top since I needed it to set the tank on becuase of the bulk heads. Im asking $200.00. You must pick up since I do not have a truck to transport it. I live in New Braunfels, Texas. Thanks for looking.
  6. Another question is, if I rinse the sand out and reuse, is the consider starting with new sand? I can afford all new sand right now and would like to reuse what's in the tank
  7. So if I start with a new sand bed and seed it with the old sand, how long will I have to wait before I add my fish and coral? Remember I'm getting live rock with the tank so it's already cured. I'll also be using a lot of the water that's already in the tank except for about a 30 gallon water change.
  8. That's what I'm going to do but didn't know if it will still mess it up.
  9. For those of you that have experience moving tanks? The question I have is about the sand bed. I decided to sell my 120 gallon tank because of space issues amd am going to by a 90 gallon setup that i already running from a person in san antonio. The tank I'm getting is coming with a full sand bed, and live rock along with a lot of snails and hermits. The tank is currently running. Does it cause a cycle when you mess up the sand bed durning the move? Should I rinse the sand out or will that be worse for it? I don't want to cause a hair algea bloom. Also when I get it back to my house I'm going to have to get everything ready so I was going to but the live rock in a brute trash can with a power head in it until I get things done. How long will the sand be ok for as long as it is covered with water?
  10. Well the tank is not really new and I understand what you mean about the move but the hair algae started while my brother had the tank and only then Towards the last few months he had it. I have a BRS dual reactor now and I'm not really seeing a difference as of yet. I'm going to try the 3 days of darkness to see if it helps then I'll go to the fish store and by a sea hair or something that will eat the left over hair algae. Thanks again.
  11. Ok so I'm staring the 3 days of darkness tomorrow. Is there anything else I should know before I do it? The reason I'm doing this is because of a hair algae problem. It's on about 3 rocks and covering it pretty good. It has continued to spread even with the dual GFO and carbon reactor. I want to get this under control. I'm planing the water change on Sunday.
  12. If I do the 3 days of darkness, do I still keep my regular feeding schedule? Also do I keep the moon light LEDs on? Also I was wanting to clean my skimmer in vinegar. Should I have the skimmer running during the 3 days of darkness or can I clean it during this time?
  13. Mine ate my peppermint shrimp the other day. Came home to see the tail sticking out of the BTA mouth. Hasn't expelled anything yet.
  14. Well I got new sponges. Made my own from the black filter sponge. Now my question is should I do a water change first or after the GFO and carbon have been running for awhile?
  15. How long do I leave them soaking for
  16. Could I soak the sponges in bleach also?
  17. Could I soak the sponges in bleach also?
  18. If I do this how do I get the bleach off? Do I have to soak them in something else after the bleach
  19. So I came across this reactor for a good price. I need to buy new sponges for it becuase they need to be replaced. The problem I have is that the plactic cylinders that are inside that hold the carbon and GFO media smell really bad like the ocean water when it sets in a bucket for a long time. Not sure if you know what I'm talking about. Anyways I placed it in water and vinegar and scrubbed it with a brush but it still smells. Will this hurt my tank if I run it with these same containers? There clean but just smell. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.
  20. I have 4 fish (2 clowns, yellow watchmen, and a pj car.) also have a pistol shrimp and a peppermint shrimp. Hard to tell how many lbs of LR but im guessing 25. The tank is not a new setup. It's been running for over 2 years now. I just moved it from my brothers place to mine now that I have my own house. The flows ok but I'm going to be adding a seio M820 along with my 2 K1. Might leave out the K1 but I'll have to see how strong the Seio is.
  21. My nitrats are real high. I'm going to be doing some water changes this week and weekend.
  22. So I got my 29 gallon biocube back from my brother and it's been up and running for about 2 weeks. I have a cyno out break that I'm trying to deal with. Any suggestions? Also I have some hair algae that I wanted to get out. I was thinking about trying the 3 days of darkness but have never done it before. What's the process?
  23. Ya I found out yesterday that it's the protien skimmer pump that's making all of the noise. I'm going to have to switch it out with another pump I have. Thanks for all of the help
  24. never thought about it that way. i always assumed that it helped with flow in the tank. i guess thats why they make circulation fans for the inside.
