Woohoo. For the first time in a long time, maybe 2 years or more, I'm running a gfo reactor again. Phosphates staying up in the 0.4+ppm range and not coming down with water changes or careful feeding.
I am starting slow. 5 tablespoons of HC GFO for my 83 gallons total water volume. Hopefully I don't make anything mad

Another option may be Lanthaum Chloride (pretty sure I misspelled that). Either option would work but LaCl will be a little more cost efficient.
What drove up the PO4 and NO3?

Exactly. Got them in. They look good. I'll post a pic once they open up, torch, hammer, acan, chalice and a couple of other hard corals, no SPS or softies.

So does living reef ship fish & coral, or ??
They will ship but I wouldn't say they are set up well for it. The website doesn't allow you to purchase etc but they honored the gift card

Got an order from Living Reef Orlando coming today. And probably moving the Emperor out of the tank (getting too big for my 125), he's going to love his new home.

I think John is trying to make a point...
Yes. Quite subtle isn't he?

Looks like you could use more coral in that tank! [emoji106]
Trust me I'm working on it. Probably is that big blue and yellow blob in the tank eats everything.
I've got a pack coming this week or next with some corals from Living Reef Orlando. Then one more order with Cherry Corals.

I just realized how much I like your aquascape. Nice work!
Thanks. Ty gets some credit as well for the initial design.

I like it a lot minus the light bleed and the noise. May need to keep it up once it gets a bit warmer. It helps with the heat and humidity though

Such a nice day out I decided to take the top down and feel the wind in the fishes fins

Been a while since I updated. Tank is doing better. Stabilizing. Ran chemi clean to get rid of cyano but otherwise doing well. Loving the movement of the gorgs and torches.
Fuge continues to grow cheato. Small amount of GFO and my skimmer are keeping the tank clean

Disregard that comment about the timing, the clock on apex is set to my local time in London currently. Crack on.
But the issue with the flat line still interests me.

Tank is moving along. Had some ups and downs with the SPS, but I suppose that is to be expected with a tank this young. I think I'll stick with softies/LPS for my next order of corals until the tank settles in a bit more and I settle on my fish list.
One interesting thing to note is my pH value at night. Anyone else see a flat line and then a dip like this?
And if you look, the pH is lowest at noon when all of the lights are on vs the highest when just the fuge lights are on at night.
-
Yikes John. Not good. Did the tank react to it at all?
Could the CO2 been running if the pH went up? I would have thought the opposite.

Alright, a brother from a different mother. I saw the post from Felix today about the tanks heading to TX. Very awesome Jolt.

Yikes. That looks messy. At least the tank got a skimmate treat.
I like how you put the float valves in the dosing container. I may do something similar on mine.

Efficiency at its finest!
They wanted to be sure that every penny of the shipping cost was spent

Exactly. Wouldn't want anything to arrive early. Don't want to exceed expectations.

Because I rerouted it to my house! Yay corals!
Enjoy the hanna reagents Ty. It's a hint, time to test your water.

Hi Sean, corals are looking good. That transformation was pretty amazing. I would be interested to see your colors with a little more PO4 and NO3 in the tank.
