Best luck I had was with nudibranches. They cleared my tank of aiptasia.

Ty, if you want to borrow my APEX par rock, let me know

Pink Caddy is looking great. It should start to branch out soon. Mine encrusted for a while then started growing vertically.
And I know where I need to shop next. Those frags look great.

I like the pool analogy. Those guys know plumbing for sure
Did you sneak into my backyard and take a pic of my pool? You could have at least peeped into my window or waved hello first
I would add something under those pumps or a way to drain them if you need to service them. That’s the only issue I had with my external pumps. No way to drain them once I shut off the valve. Made servicing them a pain.

same rock and sand from my old tank actually, might need to top off some more rock though. I'm gonna really do a better rockscape this time around so Seth won't laugh at my fruit stand lol

So now you’ve got plenty of room for a few BTAs

No diseases. I do have aiptasia but I’ve never seen any in the cheato. There are red flatworms as well. You could always take a small amount and rinse it well in fresh water. There are good pods in the cheato though

Went up and got the last bit of acrylic to finish the build. Stopped by and saw Jake at River City. Good guy. Got a few staples but nothing living. He will order me some fish in a few weeks. Got home and was putting the buckets together for the rotifers. Fed Ex rang the bell and 2 boxes of "This End Up" "Perishable" . Wooo Hooo Got the roti's and pods. I also got 1 of the fancy kits for growing roti. Gonna try it out. See if that works better than just an air stone and bucket. Here is the Roti set up. The pods will just go in the 55 observation tank. Anyone have a source for clean cheeto's? oops I mean chaeto. Also cleaned up the brine shrimp hatch cone. Need to get some eggs soon.
Looking good. I’m ready to harvest my cheato. I normally end up with a 12x12x2” mat of it. You are welcome to it.

Friends I charge more. Putting up with their shenanigans fee. [emoji3]
All I asked for was an $80 tester frag. What’s the big deal with that?

Other than a suicidal black clown that finally succeeded after many attempts.

Don’t blame yourself Mdavis. He was living on borrowed time.
I’m sure Ty will have an appropriate gif for that one.

That smurf gobbler sure is a purdy frag

It sure is. And by the looks of it, plenty of frags for friends. Amiright Ty?

So I accidentally dosed a whole bottle of AcroPower last night. I hadn't been dosing in a while and I thought I would start dosing again to see if there was indeed a noticeable effect. I went to purge the lines and next thing I know it's morning and I realized I forgot to turn off the dosing pump! I thought for sure it would be a disaster, but everything looks fine today. The only thing I can notice is that PO4 dropped by half and my Alk decreased slightly. Everything else seems to be stable. Just thought that I would share my experience, some people seem to believe dosing too much amino acids can be detrimental, but here's a good example of over doing it! [emoji12] Just an anecdotal example of course. Any minute now my corals will burst out of the glass and blind me with their fluorescence 🤣
And you want to be my latex salesman.

Awesome Sam. Hurry up and get that filled with frags.

While the rock is out of the water and not cured, I’d drill a bunch of holes in it for frag plugs for corals. A lot easier to move corals around to different rocks, light, flow if you have spots already pre-drilled.
But looking awesome none the less. That overflow is huge. Bigger than some peoples displays

Either way it is nice. Mine is taking off too.

Which OP is that? SC or RR?

You have a piece of that shortcake already!
I thought you did as well?
I only said I liked it. I didn’t say I was going to rob him for it.

Ty and John can confirm, but I’m going to need to borrow a few of those peps [emoji4]
Tank is looking great. That SSC is hot

Wow, been a while since I have updated. I’ve got some big updates. Changing lights to an ATi powermodule hybrid. Had one on an older tank and when a slightly used one came up for sale, I jumped on it.
I’ve got pictures of all the corals for now to compare.
Still running Triton. Unsure if I’ll switch to a CARX later in 2018. I’m going to run this light for 6 months or so and then decide if I need to change regimes. It definitely grows chaeto, corals and apparently stalactites
Today is skimmer cleaning day. Always good when the skimmer can fit into a 5 gallon HD bucket for cleaning. Hot water, vinegar and turn the pump on. Self cleaning.

Whoa, I completely missed that. Looks great Ty. Corals look alright as well.

Looks great John. Now get rid of that big blob in the first 2 pics. It's distracting from all the lovely SPS.

Sam, what's the purpose for the 2nd 40g water container?
