  1. I moved my tank over to a 40 gallon ADA tank, so if anybody wants a drilled 30 gallon Oceanic (tank only), they are free to pick it up from me. I am in Pflugerville.

I will put a picture up later, but until then a description will have to suffice. There are 5 holes drilled in the back. Two on the each of the back (on near top, one near the bottom), and one in the middle near the bottom. They are all for 1" bulkheads.

I had it set up with the middle hole as a closed loop drain, the two bottom holes were returns for the closed loop, the two top ones were drains to the sump, and the returns from the sump came over the back.

Send me an email (markaburton at gmail dot com) or respond on here.

    Thanks,

    Mark

  2. Classy mark, I hope you document the set up of your ADA tank. i assume you are getting it from ADGshop in houston. Are you shipping it? Fill us in man.

Indirectly through them. I called Jeff at ADG, and he pointed me in the direction of Aquatek to save on shipping. They are going to order it next week.

I'll start up a thread to document the process when it gets in town.

Are you interested in buying a new one? I can build you one at a very reasonable price.

If you are interested let me know the dimensions and some details and I can get back

    with you.

I would love to hear a quote. The tank is 30 x 18. I would like the stand to be 36" tall. I really like the look of this stand:

with a different color finish (not sure what color exactly though).

    Thanks

  3. I now live in Pflugerville, and would prefer pickup, but I am willing to meet people as well.

I am selling off a few things to help pay for a new tank. Here they are:

Demon Eye Zoanthids [$20] The colors have faded a little bit in my tank, I'm not sure what their best placement in the tank should be. I got these from Copps on RC, and this is the picture from when I first put them in my tank. There are more polyps now:

Green encrusting monti [$20] This is the frag when I first put it in my tank. It has grown quickly, so the frag I cut will be very similar in size to this picture:

    Clam [$60]: About 4"

Give me an email at markaburton at gmail dot com or PM me on here if interested.

    Thanks,

  4. Sent reply elsewhere as well.

It would help if you post a pic of what you are looking for so that we know EXACTLY what you are looking for. I don't know how many different names I've heard for the same zoas. I have about 30 different zoa, no browns, 8 different paly's, some are green enough to be called nuclear by some. Come by and you might find what you are looking for or something else like Tubs blues. I live downtown.

Posted this on MAAST as well, but in case others were wondering:

There are a few pictures on there. They are fairly big polyps.

  5. Hey guys/gals. I have an orange yuma for trade and I am looking for nuclear green palys. The yuma is just a baby (slightly bigger than 1/2") that was laid by the mother a few weeks ago.

Here are a few pictures of the mother:

I'm looking for the real deal Nuclear Green Palys. Any interest?

    edit:

All those pictures were taken under the 250 watt 20K AB bulb I was using at the time.

  6. I notice when looking at the big tank forum on RC that a lot of the tank stands are made from steel tubing and skinned in wood. I'm thinking about setting up a new tank (roughly 80 gallons). Are these style stands quite a bit more expensive than just a solid wood stand? I like the idea of using a steel stand and attaching the wood with magnets or something along those lines so I can remove the entire wood skin for full access under the tank.

Any thoughts on this? any idea of potential costs for doing this on an 80 gallon tank?

  7. Looks great. I love the dimensions of the tank.

I have also made the trek from Florida to Austin, but I decided to sell/give away everything before moving and starting from scratch once I got here.

  8. 1 pack sold. I'm breaking them up because people are saying they want one or two here and there. So here are the prices for individual frags....

    Tyree Purple Selago- $40

    Green M. Confusa- $35

    LE Tenius- $40

    LE Purple Rimmed Efflo- $85

LE Acropora Rosaria (Bright Pink Tips)- $50

    LE Red Chalice (1x1)- $50

    2" Small colony- $65

    Purple and Blue A. Nausta

Pink with Green Polyp Stylophora- $50

Any interest in a trade? I have a solid orage-ish colored Yuma that just laid a baby (only about 1/2" big now) I am intereste in the Red Chalice.

Here is a picture of the mother:

  9. I have an extra eheim 1262 (900 gph) that is for sale. Its never been used other than to put it in my tub to see if it worked. These sell for $130 plus shipping at marine depot and more at local stores.

I am looking to sell it for $120.

    Brand Spankin' New.

    EDIT:

I forgot to mention this in the description, but when the pump was shipped to me, the back cover was broken. Its just the cosmetic cover, and I called eheim to see if there would be any problem running it without the cover and they said none at all. The cover wasn't the waterproof part. Anyway, I was going to replace it with another pump I have, but I can't get it off the other pump, so I guess it has to go as is.

  10. Was it your only source of water flow? If so, I would suggest getting something else in there ASAP. If you don't have anything lying around, I have a pump you can borrow. Its not a powerhead, but it will move water to keep the water oxygenated.

What is the tank setup like? Reef tank, Fish only, etc?

  11. yeah, i was probably going with the 600, i was sort of waiting to see some reviews of the 300, thanks for that.

I have the 600 on my 30 cube. The only reason I went with it over the 300 is because I found one used for only 2 months at a pretty good price. I have had it running for a few weeks now and am getting good skimmate out of it considering my low bioload. Let me know if you ever want to come by and check it out.

I had problems with microbubbles for the first few weeks, so I turned it off for a few days. I turned it back on yesterday, and its almost microbubble free.

  12. Did you have any microbubble problems with yours? I am still getting a lot of microbubbles out of mine. I was told on reefcentral that it was due to my tank being young (roughly 3 months old I guess). I turned it off, and plan to leave it off for a bit to let the tank mature a little more...otherwise my aquarium is more of a snow globe.
