It's a type of caulerpa. I've had lots of those in the past. They're really neat if you don't have anything in your tank that will nip at them and eat them. -Steve

I'd like the liverock once you sell the rest. Maybe the clownfish also. Please let me know when a good time would be to come and get it and how much if you're willing to part it out. Thanks, Steve

If you want me to build a replica of the stand it was on I could certainly do that in a couple of days (mostly for dry time on the paint/stain). I can make it as fancy or as simple as you like, price and build time would depend on what you specifically want. But if you just need something to set it on then I would go with Euclid's suggestion and check out some of those stores. -Steve

It's mucus netting from an invert living in the rock. They usually will make tubes that protrude out from the rock but usually in darker holes so you won't usually see them. I had quite a few in some of my previous tanks and I used to watch them send the nets out and then particulate would get caught in the netting and they would suck it back in and feast on their catch! Pretty neat to watch if you've got 30 minutes to waste! -Steve

Hey all, I finally took some photos and did a fill test of my 16gallon bowfront. I've had this tank for over 3 years and never once filled it!!! No leaks and the lighting and CPR AquaFuge PS all works! Enjoy these preliminary pics and I will have many more to come! -Steve

Did you already throw away the sand? I've got my tank in a situation where I can now put in some sand and rocks but I don't know if you have already left or not. Let me know and I can come today if you are still around. Thanks, Steve

I'd also be interested in buying some liverock and sand if you are trying to empty it before you sell. I wish I had room to put that tank because I would buy it if I had! What a deal! -Steve

Howdy y'all, I'm not sure if anyone here is from the original MAAST group that I was in or not but I was a pretty active member a few years back. Lots has gone on in my life since then (went to and graduated from A&M, moved to Canada and lived/worked there for 6 months) and now I'm back in good ol' ATX with a new tank I'm about to set up! I've got a 16g bowfront with a CPR Backpack/Protein Skimmer combo. So far I have a 150w Coralife H.O.T. Metal Halide with I believe a 16k Ushio, but I don't remember for sure. It'll have a nice little chiller/heater combo I've had for awhile and I will be running an old SQWID (sp?) off of it for some extra return flow using a Mag 5. I'm just now in the process of getting moved into my new apartment (all bills payed mwahahaa, no expensive AC and lighting bills for me!) and I will be looking for rock and sand as soon as I get everything painted and setup the way I want it. I look forward to getting back into the hobby and if anyone here remembers me lemme know! Thanks, Steve P.S. Pics to come.
