This is a picture of the one that is not for sale, The other one is bigger but is headed for a spot in the tank I don't want him in.

  2. Well Mine is a little diffrent

    6:30am Left 400 watt Reeflux 12k

10:30am Center 400 watt Radium turns on

12noon Left 400 watt Reeflux turns off

3:30pm Right side 400 watt Reeflux turns on

5pm Center 400 watt Radium turns off

9pm Right side 400 watt Reeflux turns off

    9:30 Actinics off

I have LED's that add some red and also do a dawn/dusk, moonlights, and lighting effects.

I do this to keep the heat load off of the tank. This way the chiller never comes on.

I cant imagine running my MH longer then 5-6 hours a day. I get great color and growth at 5-6 hours.

  3. Well considering the Hail/Tornado's storms we have had tonight in the metro area I wanted to know what everyone does during these storms?

If there is something approaching my house I will unplug the tank during the immediate storm to guard against power surges and or in worse case scenario if a wall comes down and the tank shatters I don't want to get electrocuted.

    Hope everyone is ok...

I really don't like hiding in the Laundry room BTW.

We had golf ball size hail

  4. The worms did not eat your zoas. You may have something else munching on them. These worms are just scavangers but do not activly hunt anything. They just sweep there tenticals out on the sand hoping to pick up food flying across the sand. I have many of them and they are totally reef safe. Some people do not like them because of the way the look but I think they are a good part of the clean up crew.

  5. SWEET!!! Love the pic. w/the gramma inside the rock. Also, I notice an unusual coral on the sandbed......what is it? Coral is red and green. Looks like everything is coming along, keep it up.

    -Cindy-

Thats the Tyree War coral (favia)

  6. What brand is the MHs, can you upload a pic of the sump, and do you have a phone #?

Do you mean the bulb or the Light unit? The T5 bulbs in it are only about 3 months old and are Geissman the MH Bulbs are about a year old and I would highly recommend replacing them but you could probably get away with using them for a couple months if needed.

The Unit is manufactured by Catalina Aquarium out of California

This is the light unit on there page but they list it as 4 39w t5's mine has 4 54w t5s
