  1. Sold my tank over a year ago to my buddy and never got around to getting another one due to lack of funds... But after a year of not having anything I have decided to turn my old 20 g sump into a nano tank! Somethings better than nothing I guess. I'm excited though! I miss this board.
  2. I have a bowflex sitting around that I don't even use since I have a gym membership. It works just like new, not worn down or anything. Just a little dusty. Comes with all original parts, manual and a golds gym weightlifting belt. http://www.fitsupply...p/po-bf-ult.htm This item cost well over a $1000.00 brand new. I'm looking to trade for sps corals, mh or t5 light fixture 18"-24", Ecotech MP-10, HDTV or $200 cash. Open to other ideas as well. SOLD

    Cheap Corals

I am downgrading tanks and don't need these corals anymore. Most have been in my tank for over a year and are well established under MH lamps. Please pm me if you are interested in an item and would like to see a picture. I just didn't feel like taking a ton of pics, but will if needed. Let me know! Thanks. Zoas: 1. 8. My nano won't be ready for another 3 weeks. Can I get one of these off of you then?
  9. That's the same day as Aquapalooza! I'll be at the lake!
  10. lol hydro.. Great tank! My build is very similar but a lot smaller and i'm doing a diy led fixture. Your aquascaping is top notch! Post more pics when you get some corals in there!
  11. I need help designing my overflow! I didn't post this in the DIY because I'm having it built. My tank is 20x20x16 that I just had built. I'd like to have a center overflow on the back panel or in one of the corners, but I am confused about size and shape. Pros and cons of either design? Should I go with a trapezoid or rectangular shape? I am also curious about the possibility of drilling my tank from the bottom. Any thoughts? I hope I'm not asking too many questions! This will be my first tank with an internal overflow, so I'd really like some decent advice as far as bulkhead size and where the hole should be drilled. Thanks!
  12. I'm pretty sure the high wattage LEDs such as cree and luminex have an out put of 161 lumens per watt. So 800 watts at 161 lumens per watt would be 128,800 lumens? This article is over a year and half old too. http://www.cree.com/press/press_detail.asp?i=1227101620851 here's a newer article that cree claims to achieve 200 lumen per watt. http://reefbuilders.com/2010/02/05/cree-breaks-200-lumens-per-watt-led-efficiency-barrier/ I don't know a lot about LEDs but I've been researching and I believe you can successfully run a sps dominent tank on these high powered LEDs. I think people who are unaware of LEDs walk into the LFS and see these 30w fixtures composed of 1w garbage LEDs and buy them expecting to supplement for MH or t5. Just a big misunderstanding in my opinion. I'm hoping to build a fixture just like this for my 30 gallon nano. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1662682&page=12
  13. wow, I want to build mine just like this. Total cost for materials? Did you use pine?
  14. i think i'd rather buy the old one used or new for $175 or less
  15. I'm looking for one of these! http://ecotechmarine.com/products/vortech-mp10/

  17. It is an Iwaki MD 30 RT with a max head of 17.7 ft and 600 gph flow rate. This is the Japanese model pump, it works awesome, very quiet and gave me awesome flow with my closed loop. I decided to go another route with my flow. Pump is just over a year old, no problems once so ever. I'm looking to get $120. Pump sells $200+ brand new.
  18. Sweet! Keep us updated!
