  1. I feel your pain. I've had a few fish go mia with no trace. It drove me nuts. I wanted, no needed answers. I asked Bruce at Aquatech and he looked at me and said," It's salt water these things happen." So these things happen.

  2. Did you get live rock with the tank? Rock can letch out phosphates and don't show up in test. It's not a cure but three days of darkness will help to get rid of the algae that's there. If you don't get to the bottom of the nutrient problem it will come back.

  3. @ Teg I always thought your avatar was you being funny and the clownfish had spit out all that color. I'm laughing at myself now.

@BSJ Sorry to hear about the losses. Hydro had brought up a question I had when you said culled what does that mean. I don't want to assume anything. I really have enjoyed your videos. Oh and what general part of S.A. do you live in? I have family their and If I can kill two stones with one bird....

  4. I got these tarp clips from an auto parts store that are black plastic and are the best nori clip I've ever used. Derry I have an extra one if you want it LMK and I can bring it to the office. I'm not too far from you. I'm on 183 just across from Ace hardware.

  5. Jeremy is your reef octopus set up like mine? Mine the closed setting is what dumps the water out the out tube. When I have it where it's on open the water goes straight to the collection cup. I am not using the product now. I did. I did the water change, put carbon back on line, and turned on the skimmer. I just wasn't sure the skimmer would freak out for this long.

  6. I used red slime remover recently. It did a great job. I did a big water change and plugged the skimmer back in (three days ago) and it's going nuts. I have the valve totally closed and it still bubbles over the collection cup. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks.
