The fans are a great idea just be careful with clip on anything. I had a clip on light over my sump that fell in and led to a lot of trouble.

I didn't think I liked toadstools till I saw yours. I really like your tank. Good job.

I went to wetweb and they said exactly the same thing. Some are super territorial so do your homework

agreed. Back to the question, if he wants a lot of fish, in a 55 what would be too many if he stuck with gobies ?
-
Are you going to try the waterfall later or just scrap the idea? I thought it looked cool and really creative. The tank looks good I just thought the two would be awesome.

My bad. I guess I'm the sensitive one. I didn't see where correcting case to can added anything at all. But that's just me. He's happy all is good. I apologize for offending your gracious nature.

Methinks thou protests too much.
I recommend against this. ( "cram as many fish as I
casecan(sic)")with that being said:
depends on the method you want to use.
I'd recommend strong biological (mud and macro) and mechanical (filtration filter floss, carbon and skimmer)
actually...I'd recommend against this still

Hey Rick, welcome! Not every question will get your spelling corrected and everyone up on a soap box I promise. Correct me if I'm wrong but you want a tank with a lot to look at. I think the goby rout would let you put more fish in your tank. When I started in sw they pounded the rule 1" of fish for every gallon, which as general rules go they have all kinds of exceptions. I would suggest that you spend some time looking at the types of fish you might like and then reading up on them. If I only had one fish it would be my bi color blenny as he is the most active and has a cool personality.

There was a thread on here about what people did with their water from a water change and everyone was worried about the salt on their grass. I dump mine in the same spot every time and that's where the grass grows fastest and greenest. As far as feeding the plants the feeder sprayer adds fresh water so I think the salt issue is pretty mute here.

The skimmate has two of the big three in fertilizer n-p. So when I clean the skimmer I pour the skimmate into a plastic bottle. When I feed the plants I pour that into a feeder attachment on the hose and spray it on the plants. My tomatoes and squash love it.

I use the skimmate as plant food

After a knock-down death match with cyano I need to restock my tank. Running gfo full bore is not the best thing for cyano or corals. Donations would be greatly appreciated but I'll pay for frags of zoa's or montie's. Thanks D.R.

zoa eating nudi's look just like the zoas they are eating. They are very hard to see, use a flash light a few hours after lights out. I've had em and they are a booger to get rid of. I'm not saying they are what you have just a possibility.
