That's the devil we all know as gha. I had it forever and almost gave up the hobby. I would test for everything and have normal ranges. The thing is it's getting nutrients from somewhere. It came down to my lr must have been leeching them back out. So I did three days of darkness, manually scrubbed the rocks, and then uped my water changes to 5 gallons twice a week. The gha was and is gone. I'd start buying your ro water from a lfs until you get it under control, that way your sure you aren't adding anything back in that you don't want.

I have a PJ cardnail named KONG. I hate this fish (I know, strap in and take the ride). My wife got a pair for the tank. She thought they were cool at first, then not so much. So I wanted them out. Not Kong I caught no problem. Kong on the other hand would hang out right out in the open, unless I thought about catching him. Seriously, if I was just watching the tank no problem, he would be front and center mocking me. Think about catching him and ninja smoke bomb and gone. This went on for months. I finaly had all I could take and took every piece of rock out of the tank until I caught the little bugger and dropped him in the sump. One Saturday I'm cooking breakfast for the family and I start to smell something burning. Not my cooking so I go to check it out. My clip on sump light had fallen in the sump, broke the bulb and was arcing current through the water. The pj was swimming right next to it. I had tons of die off and it took a ton of water changes to get back to normal but no adverse effects on KONG. He may now die of old age, in my sump.

Saturday night I'm enjoying a little irish whiskey and watching the tank. I notice that my garf purple bonsi isn't where I glued it down. No biggie, I'll do a little search and rescue. I very carefully move some rocks to look where it should be and it's not there. Put those back and look a little further over. NOT THERE! Long story short I moved every piece of rock out of the tank, rescapped and no purple bonsi???????????? I guess it's in another dimension. I do like the reworked scapping but miss my bonsi. Do we still have a want to buy section?

Just going to add my 2 cents. I have no problem with the cost of premium membership going up 200 percent. I guess the site and club is going to be 200 percent more awesome. So yeah! I would like more info on the professional membership. I don't really see any incentive to pay more than a sponsor who will definately get business where for a painter, dentist, florist etc. it's a crap shoot. As far as people becoming members just to sell stuff why not just put a post count into play? Like I said just my 2 cents so that and 4.98 will get you coffee.

Welcome to your new addiction. Since your waiting I'd do a search on dry or dead rock and see if you don't want to go that rout. It's cheaper and no chance of a pest infestation. Good luck and welcome.
