  1. I am down south and have some purple cap (large), tiny red cap frag, and possibly can even do an Undata.
  2. Interested in the Red Gracilaria... I work at 183 and Oak Knoll... Any way to meet some where in between?
  3. Might be interested as i need to replace my 12 month old lamps... why do you replace your lamps so frequently?
  4. Any particular acan color or pattern?
  5. I am interested in the Tang. Call me at 512-656-8493 at your convenience. Miguel

    My Miami

So, so tempting... Still love the other chalice I picked up from you. Amazing stuff you have!
  7. I have been doing biocubes, big reef tank, and now pico tank for about 4 or 5 years now... and I never stop to ask if you really need a heater. I was always told I need one so I always purchased one, but we had two heater incidents recently - one was stuck on and killed 5 cichlids in a freshwater tank and the other heater cracked and killed 3 saltwater fish in a biocube.... so i started thinking if you really need one? I looked online at liveaquaria.com, and all the inverts, coral and fish said they required temperatures from 72 deg to 78 deg... I am run a 5 gal pico (cycling right now) without a heater and the temperature is 74 deg over night to 75 in the day as the ambient temperature stays the same... do you really need a heater? maybe in winter? but anything really require a temperature of 79 deg or 80 deg?

    Reef Cleaners

When are you going to place the order? Are you looking to do priority or express mail? The reason I ask is that I might include items that cannot be shipped via priority mail. Let me know. Also, I am at 183 and Oak Knoll so can meet you somewhere in the middle. Thanks.

    Reef Cleaners

Would be interested... Maybe about $30 worth. I would need them on Friday so ordering mid week would be better. Let me know what you decide to do. Where in north Austin are you?
  12. +1 for Jake and the RCA crew!
  13. I was in Australia for 3 months and Tye Stout took care of mine and did a great job.
  14. I would say he is 2 1/2 inches... Had him for over a month... He was doing fine... No stringy anything. A couple of bumps on his snout but always had those. He is chased by the other pipefish then just finds a place in the rock and hides there.
  15. Came home and one was still picking on the other... Have them separated right now. Not sure what to do with the other male.
  16. Really? Oh no... I thought they would settle down in a hierarchy.
  17. I had a Bluestripe Pipefish in my aquarium for a little over a month... thick and happy... I decided to get some more as they were an interesting addition and added a mated pair... after the acclimation process, I added the pair and the two males began fighting immediately. My wife was able to get it on video... they seem to be getting along now... meaning staying apart and giving the alpha the right away... interesting video:
  18. I have an APC UPC on my tank just to power heater and MP10... I figure the least stuff on it the battery, the longer it would power it... they can do without lights for a while but definitely not heat and flow... BTW... really regret putting my tank so close to a window... lessen learned...
  19. After drooling for one of these, I finally pulled the trigger on buying one... just got it in my tank yesterday, but it seems to be happy.
  20. I had pep, cleaner, and fire in my 57G mix with several acans and have never had a problem... I think the pep gets enough food from my feedings not to be interested in them i guess...
  21. Clint, thanks for all the frags... the colors and health of very thing is amazing! All the acans, chalices and sps are doing great! I actually think the last patch from you included a Lime in the Sky... the color is awesome on that thing.... thanks again.
  22. So how do you find the balance between dosing and low nutrients... It seems Acans and Microalgae like the dirty water, but other coral don't... is there a secret or just trial and error until you find the balance?
  23. I went to look at my bulb because I remember buying the "green" type... it is the shape of a flood light but has the inner CF spiral... this is the one i have: bulb link Only 2700K... I never thought to look at that... I will go and find one tomorrow that is 5500K... thank you so much.
  24. I have a generic, yellow flood light from Lowe's right over it. Basic parameters I check: CA 460, ALK 8, MG 1200, Nitrates 0, pH 8.0, Temp 79-81 No invertebrates at all... just some live rock. Definitely not caulerpa... it is chaeto (bought it from RCA and Aquadome)... it is all gone now... but it was slow over time until nothing but a few small strands.... Do I need more nutrients for my corals in my tank?
  25. All my microalgae in my sump is just melting away? Is this a good or bad thing? all my water parameters seem fine... any ideas?
