So along with some white pod flat worms I have noticed some red ones in the fuge. They seem to be only on the glass and macro. I plan on treating it with flat worm exit. Since I can turn off the flow to the main tank, The fuge is a separate tank. I will wipe down the glass, dose the fuge with the product. Wait a bit then change out 100% of the water. Wipe and drain a second time then refill. Does any one think this will cause an issue with anything like tube worms in the main tank or sponges in the sump?
I have not seen any in the main tank but I think a wrasse or 2 is in the near future.
Also I have read, blue nudi's will eat them. Does anyone know if I can keep 1 or 2 in my fuge? What else do they eat ?
Any inverts eat them?
I would almost guarantee they are in the display too and you can't see them. I would do what you're doing, treat the fuge separately. It shouldn't cause issue for the other things in the fuge as long as you do the water change and run carbon quickly.
Then personally, I'd follow a week later with a full tank treatment... You'd be surprised how many you'll see in the display. And then another treatment a week after that. -
Haha, I can picture her face while saying that! [emoji23] Glad you got it figured out bud!So, my wife has been passively watching me scramble this morning. She just did the same math that Sierra Bravo did. Except she called me a dumbass at the end of it. Deserved. After emptying a few more cups I've been able to get the Refractometer to read 1.027 from 1.028 so it appears its all in working order and my tank is in fact sitting at 1.028.
So how did my salinity creep so high? Interesting dilemma. I stopped doing water changes 6 months ago and my tank has never looked better. But after some digging just now it would appear the large amounts of 2-part I dose (200ml of each) for all my SPS does indeed increase salinity. I had no idea. You add sodium carbonate and calcium chloride, and as the calcium carbonate is removed by corals, the sodium and chloride remain. I do empty quite a bit of SW out with my skimmer, I'd assume it would balance out. Apparently not. -
DittoTropic Eden Reefflakes. It's my goto sand. -
You've seen Jurassic Park... Life finds a way.
In a cage, yes. I wouldn’t intentionally let one out to roam and create havoc!- 2

I had to edit it a lot to kill the over saturation, but not bad.For an iPhone, that’s pretty good! The clarity is so good I could distinguish a pest in your tank. It looks like you have some aiptasia on the left side of the tank in the middle of the rock work. I hear lasers can help, but power heads are just as effective.
Don't you have like 4 Lemondrop aiptasias in your tank too? I'll be a good pal and remove them for you... No charge. -
Says the guy who went to play with pumpkins with his kids instead of come stare at it in person. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]Meh... it's aight [emoji14]- 1

Testing out my wife's new IPhone XS. I had to correct the contrast a ton and dial down the saturation and it still looks a little too juiced for my likes but here it is.
I couldn't export in 4k with 60 FPS as it was recorded natively so it's just 4k at 30 FPS for you techie geeks.

Hydrowizard pump?I was at the Stienhert aquarium and saw this giant stream pump. It was about a foot in diameter and 2 feet long. Looked like it was powered by a submersible pump the size of a hammerhead. Looks like it was mounted to a 10” I beam. But it was underwater so prob acrylic.Any body know what it is? -
That's impressive growth Scott! This is a cruddy photo taken through a coral viewer, but I know [mention=463]FarmerTy[/mention] likes to see how his efflo does in other people's tanks. It's been encrusting like crazy for a while and is now starting to begin to table with purple axial corallites and white tips. Nice pieceTy! -
I think some would prefer a different order of the words... Stupid FarmerTy Pink Mille.I thought so, but actually it has a nice ring to it [emoji4]

Looks great Brian.Sanding has been completed for at least one side. Still need to stain and epoxy. Going with a walnut stain and I'm thinking just 1 coat shound do it. I'm also going to just lightly sand the other side and just throw 1 coat of epoxy and probably paint the underside inside portion white to help with sump reflectivity and ease of cleaning.
Wait, didn't I move around March 2017? That means you've had this tank how long now.... [emoji44] -
I hope one has got your name on it.
He’s had the mother for 3+ years and has had 5 natural splits.

That's the legit one too! Their current offering of CSB is not legit. We had a local order it and it was not a CSB. The one they sold a couple years back was the real deal.My buddy lives in San Antonio and got an original from cherry corals way back when.

Haha. You should check it out for sure. Heather the owner is super cool but her CSB demand is crazy as mine. I do believe she occasionally puts one out to sell at the store.I’m in Denver like 3 times a year so I may have to check them out. I would prefer to just assume sharing is caring [emoji41]

And no, you can't have it for that price. [emoji12] -
$1460... Best of both. [emoji41]Would that offspring cost $730? -
At that price... There's never a spare. Lol.
Sorry, how many of those nems do you have to spare? [emoji23]
