  1. Yeah, that was my biggest detriment.  Given this tank has no sump, I am trying to figure out how to do it with the least impact to the system.   I am having a huge bubble algae problem (most of the rocks are covered in it) and its annoying me to no end

  3. What part of SoFla were you from?  I came to San Antonio from Pembroke Pines; grew up in Ocala.

Very cool. I grew up in Boca Raton and lived in Boynton Beach for about 7 years before moving to Texas. Glad to see another Floridian here!

  4. Those acros are going to go blind! [emoji12] Looks great sir!

One question, is it wise to mount a baseball bat so close in proximity to the tank? You don't think in a fit of rage one day at the tank, you might employ its services? We've all been there with our tanks... Just wondering. [emoji16]

Thanks and Ha! I never thought about the baseball bat being that close that way. Now you have planted the idea!

  5. I got the T5s up and mounted. Brought down the radion intensity to 60% from 100%. Also running the T5s for 4hrs a day for the first week for acclimation.

I have to mess around with the mounting a little, but it’s workable right now.

You get used to that white. Why not put the two 6500k bulbs on channel 1 of (the 2 bulb channel), and stagger your photoperiod more that way you’re not forced to have it that white for that long if you don’t love it as much. Just a thought

Not a bad thought. I do like the benefits because I believe the 6500k is mostly responsible for how red my confetti is as the front side of the colony away from the 6500k is just pink but the side facing is a nice intense red.

You should cut me a piece so that I can experiment for you under a more blue light :D

  8. Alright, when Jolt and I said we can't wait to see the Battlebox... We actually meant the corals inside it... Not just the box. I just wanted to clear that up in case there is any confusion. [emoji16]

    🤣

    I’ll breakout the dslr tomorrow.
