  2. You got it! Its TCK... All he probably did is hit the saturation bar up 5 clicks and add the word plutonium. [emoji23]

I love the diabolic Pacman... Which I was told is the better of the 3. Interestingly, the WWC afterparty... Who's online shots make it look like its from Mars... Pretty much looks like a pink Floyd... So its not a bad one for yellow too.

Man, it’s been years since I have even seen a diabolical Pac-Man.

  3. Okay...now to the bad........ 😫

So as some of you already know, I made a remarkably stupid error when I moved all my coral over to the 80g.

I had a 300w heater on the tank the entire time that I ASSUMED was working......and it wasn't at all.   I moved my Profilux controller over from the 25g 3 days after I moved the coral and fish and the tank was at 70 degrees! The same as my house temp.  UGH!    Well, safe to say, every thing when downhill fast and mostly everything that you see in that pic of the 25g is now gone.  Some Montis and Stylo survived, but thats about it.

In hindsight, the water felt a little cold, but unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to it.   A couple thousand dollars of coral in in the trash because of a faulty heater and no thermometer.....oh well, you live you learn.

Since the display was looking so bad (half dead coral, plus rock algae uglies), I decided to make some new dosing containers and clean up the sump area.   I am running Tropic Marin Balling on this tank with minimal to no water changes.

  4. The tank got wet in late November with the intentions of being cycled in the dark for at least 2 months.   Added 10 Liters of Matrix as well as 2 Liters of Siporax I had, added MB7 and Ammonia, and let it ride....

Worked out because I was literally out of town for 3 weeks in December on Vacation.

Late January, I decided it was time to start the pain staking task of moving all of these guys to the 80g

  5. Once I was done getting a general idea of how these puzzle pieces fit together, I moved to the tank and started to cement together.

Here is what I landed on for the final product. All in all, I think I accomplished what I wanted to do: have enough rock work to mount a ton of SPS, but also have enough negative space in the tank

  6. Aquascape time! I have to say, this is one of the things I enjoy the most about new builds.

Using trusted NYOS reef cement. All I can say is that this stuff is amazing. Mixes easy, sets quickly though so you can only mix a small amount at a time, but it is great to work with.

  7. Okay, as a few of you already knew, and now that the cat is out of the bag, I "recently" (back in September or November) bought a "new to me" tank.  Its actually Josh Avila's (of Pod Your Reef) old 80g Planet Aquariums tank.  After going bigger (@150g), I feel like this tank is the sweet spot for me, no to big, not too small as I travel a lot for work and the larger tank just becomes overwhelming to me, and my wife when I am away for that matter.

It needed a little TLC, but it came with the following:

    • Tank & Stand
    • Trigger Systems Ruby 36 Sump
    • NYOS 120 Skimmer
    • Radion XR15 G3
    • Zen Reef Smoked Acrylic 10g ATO Reservoir

I will be recycling the following from the 25gal to the 80g:

    • Radion XR15 G4
    • Profilux 3ex Controller and Doser

Ill be adding the following (some things I had already, some I will have to procure)

    • MP40
    • WP40 (I had this laying around, will probably get another MP40 at some point
    • Aquatic Life 48 T5 Hybrid unit
    • Mag9.5 for the return (had this laying around)

Josh gave me a smoking deal on the tank and equipment, so I decided to clean it myself...Should of had him clean it haha.

I am not a premium member.  Maybe that is the reason.
