Count me in.

All I did when I needed to raise a skimmer was to go to Home Depot and picked up a drain cover for landscape drainage and just set the skimmer on that as a platform. It raised the skimmer level about 4 inches.

This is good to hear since I'm going to start a 12 gal soon for my son.
Good suggestions on fish.

Glad to hear that they survived. I'm not certain that I'd recommend that in the future as a propagation method.

Agreed, wider is better for setting up and aquascaping. I have to admit that I'm also partial to high as well. Mine is just about 25" high and it's like living in the ocean versus looking into it through a narrow slit window.

Sounds good - I'd love to get one of the controllers since they're not on the current bags we have.
Be happy to send you away with something. It's more room for me to get something new
PM me and we can try to arrange something over the weekend.

I've thought about using this for kalk. It may mess up the bag, but we've got plenty. I am curious about the drip controller since we don't have that. I'll never get my wife to let me use the perstaltic pump.

Try going for the heavy duty digital timer fromhome depot. They're the only one's I've had luck with - and no pegs .

I have inheirited a large serpent star about 10" or so across.
If I can get him out of the tank, would anyone be interested in giving it a good home? I'm planning on being at the meeting and could bring it then. It's just not fitting in with my tank or with the direction I want to take the tank. My wife also thinks it's "gross" so that also is a factor.

I'm sorry to hear that you may be having some problems with the leather frag you got from me. I'm glad the zoos are doing well though.
I've never had toxicity problems that I'm aware of, but then, I'm using carbon.
In other news, I have the trumpet frag that you were interested in. I think it's about 6-8 heads.
