well u said it WELL water. I think this may be the culprit. If you did a water change since the heavy rains the aquifer has changed considerably. You probly shld invest in RODI unless you can afford to go to local fish store all the time. Just thinking since its a well you may live in the country

Alright Dave, i did some research on cutting the starfish and it says for best results in growing the arm back properly to cut a portion of the center of the starfish with the leg. Seems to have worked fine. I put the leg in tank and within 2 1/2 minutes the Harlequin came out of the cave where i thought that he was. All is good in the family here. Thanks for the help.

thanks you guys. Yes the starfish is in the sump, figured last night that he wouldhv came out when i put him in the sump. The scent and all. Ill try the leg thing tonight and then if i can catchthe fireworm ill get pics of it put up. Its BIG probly 1/4" wide and atleast 6" long if not longer. Freaky looking.

Ok, well last night about 5 minutes after the light went out i webt to my tank to try and find my Harlequin Shrimp and there was a huge(6") worm that i have identifyed as this type of worm. From what i could find it just eats on detrius and stuff on sand bed. The question I have Is: "I havent seen my new addition(harlequin shrimp) in a days or so, he/she is new." I got it saturday afternoon. I bought a chocolate chip starfish last night and put it in the sump to try and coax it outta hiding and nothing. You think the fireworm may have eaten the shrimp? Or just hiding, getting used to the new home?

+1 for the ROWAPHAUS. i put it in a two little fishys reactor any it took care of my diatom problem and a little quarter sized spot of cyano. Within a week or so.

just turn that ball valve closed till u get the height u want. I do the same with my mag 9, it turned down almost half way.

I agree also, but i hv noticed that my skimmate is a little smaller this week and it is a little darker.

I say WHO CARES..... we are only here for a short time do with it what the hell you wanna. If you wanna water the yard DO IT!!! If you wanna pay for it and let it go back to the city to be reused again DO IT!!!!!!!! WE are only mice in a big playground full of CATS!!!! GOOD DAY!!!!
