    frogspawn

some good stuff there, I'd be interested in taking some lots of ya. YOu do have a serious bubble algae problem it seems from those pics. Look maybe beyond emerald crabs, you may have to take out your live rock, scrub and bath em to get all of the existing stuff off and to keep the spores from spreading and in the current water stream

Ed/PolarBear Good ideas I'll see if I can drag some of it out and take a quick pic and put up
  9. I have a bunch of freshwater misc from cleaning out the attic. Undergravel filters, plants, rocks and those strip lights and tops. Anyone know if Goodwill takes that type of stuff or a good place for donating?? Thanks
  10. what type of cockatoo? Umbrella? Goffin??
  11. i'd be interested in some of the shrooms what part of town are you located?
  12. people have mentioned the obvious. Wait staff, bartending etc. Bartending gigs in Austin are tough to come by (where you could actually make money) unless you have good experience. Check into bar backing with a ton of the places at the warehouse district. I have several buddies that own alot of the places down on fifth and 4th street and their bar backs etc make good money. They don't make as much as the wait staff (insert blonde and boobs here) or bartenders but I often help them close down and a good Sat night those guys can work 9-3am and pull down $300-500 in cash tip outs.
  13. If the calcium reactor deal falls through let me know

    Mushrooms

yup, you can just slice shrooms pretty easy with a razor blade but they should grow back. If you think it will get too dense then just split the rock like someone else mentioned. Take off the new piece and put a rubberband around it and a small rock, sheel etc. It should eventually attach then you don't have to worry about it getting blown around or sucked in your overflows.
  15. you could also track down some acrylic rods and use those to hold some together. Just slide them into some of the holes etc to piece them together like making a popcorn necklace :-)
  16. Thanks for the livestock, all are doing well. Goby already has staked out a good place in the middle of my nano. Someone needs to jump on the rest of the Tunze gear, all in great shape.
  17. I'd be interested in the livestock (goby, snails etc but not the damsels) and a nano power head depending on price. Let me know your thoughts or shoot me a PM
  18. Yeah, that's probably your best bet. Do a search on MAAST as I think one of the SA guys was trying to raise some. I had my clowns laying tons of times before but it is alot of work and pretty hard to actually get those eggs to hatch in captivity.
  19. Is it making any noise or anything? Any clicking? Have you checked any of the outlets it may be plugged in to? GFCI? Surge protectors etc?
  20. yeah, depending on your load you can go the generator route but usually keeping your powerheads at least going will help things alot and you can run those off a computer UPS system. Heck, I have my tanks on UPS systems, my home theather system just so I don't have to reprogram anything or worry about power spikes and even my garage door openers are on back up battery APC and Tripplite love me :-)
  21. I wouldn't mind coming by as I need to stock up for some things for my Cube, would you frag some of the caps etc? If you are available anytime during the week let me know, I run my own schedule M-F, the kids run it on the weekends, LOL
  22. exactly, it is supposed to weaken the seams cause by the back and forth motion of the movement and probably more importantly of the constantly changing pressure against the seals and sides True or not I do not know, haven't been able to search anything on Reef Central
