  1. Something I've noticed when some of the nanos I've had take off. Actually have a tank running around 5dkh with a lot of Montis in it...as soon as I try to move them to another tank....they're goners.

  2. Bad urchin! Bad urchin! Silicone is a first for me.

Honestly though, I'm not surprised - That's what you get for leaving Ty alone with your urchins. ...

He's like the Saruman with orcs.

  3. ...I went through my younger life not knowing what I wanted to do when I grew up. Well, here I am.... I'm kinda grown up now.... and I'm doing what I had as a hobby as a way of paying my bills now. Recently, as in 2 months ago, I got into this hobby of salt water aquariums. I haven't been more excited to learn new things in a long time and I'm now considering going to school to get a degree in marine biology. I think it might be my calling. Anyway, if you made it this far, thanks for reading.

  4. Also. I lost count a while back. But I've been acro fallow now for a while. 3-4 months at least. Lots of carbon use followed by lots of water changes. No addition of anything other than mysis and pellets. No dosing aminos or any other products going into the water. Just fish food, flow, skimmer, and t5ho. Gfo has knocked my PO4 down to 0.06 ppm and nitrates hanging out around 10.

Everything else in the tank looks happier than ever and I'm definitely past any issues I've had last year. Wanting to pick up a few acros to try tomorrow. Nervous as all get out. Should I go for it?!?!?!?!

  5. I've always been a little hesitant with urchins because I usually have a lot of loose frags. I have enough trouble keeping the pistol shrimp from using zoas for interior decorating!

Edit - by the way, totally got the luda reference haha guard yo grill foxface

  6. I'm always terrified I have some contaminant on my hands when I reach into the tank...so much so that I'll even just rinse my arm off with tap water like its a lesser evil...

Saw this in a BRS email today...

Probably just vinegar water but the peace of mind that comes with a label...

  7. I tend to have that effect on fish. It's a curse doh.gif

That's why I keep a hood on my tanks!

Insert snarky comment about hood over your face here. Bahahahahahaha.

    You can borrow mine. smile.png

    HA...good one!

Now, be honest Jimbo. You just told the wrasse he'd have to look at Ty's face the rest of his life...couldn't take it.

Paul B's tank has some special sauce going on no doubt, but I'd be surprised if a ugf has anything to with it.
