So the kid's tanks are cycled and we went to the dome today for fish. After finding and looking at their previous choices they decided no. The fish they saw pictures of were cool but turned out not to be very active. So we wandered around until they were both completely captured by the guppies. LOL! That was unexpected.

New inhabitants from January meeting plus some fish! Thanks y'all!

Updates: Please excuse the huge UV sterilizer, I am treating ich. My tank is in a bit of a rough patch, but is starting to come together. I am still rearranging stuff, but it is almost there.

I had to get a new mimic file, because my other one jumped out. My macros are starting to take off, at least the ones that aren't murdered by the emerald crab or carried off by the urchin. LOL!

And I have the tiniest BTA, about the size of a quarter. It seems to be happy on the top rock. *crossing fingers

Yay Mimic filefish! I love mine too! If you get a chance, you should get a slender filefish too. They are cool chameleon fish.

Also, I am really loving filefish. I posted a pic of my mimic earlier. Here is a (bad) pic of my new slender file fish. Little did I know when I ordered it, that it is a chameleon. Very cool. Whenever the mimic filefish swims by, the slender goes vertical and turns into some Caleurpa prolifera (sp). No serious hostility so far.

Still some tweaking to do. I have a couple big rocks that are getting de-atipsia treatments in the sun tomorrow, and I would like a few more small pieces to fill in here and there.

Ceramic rock is in! Waiting for the water to clear then I can get some pics! YAY!

I am a bit worried that I might need heat occasionally in winter. My significant other frowns on 68 degrees for the house temp. Pfft, he doesn't get the fish thing. LOL! How can you tell if a fish is too cold?

My stuff should be ready to pick up on Wednesday. I am dying here. *impatience*

I will be there with family! We will bring some kinda food. (isn't it lovely how organized I am?)

Thanks Patrick. I will set them up and test them before I get heaters, unless the price is right. I think the fish they want first are on the cooler end of tropical too.
