looks good

Hi Kim,
To deal with humidity issues you're on the right track with cement or green board. But above that I would suggest a silica rack. A simple mounted soap dish with silica packed into a filter sock should do.
If you really want to go the distance look into fiberglass molding. It isn't hard to do; just puts off some pretty serious fumes.
Great build thread!
Thank you for the ideas, I will be looking into it. Cement board is my plan at the moment. So with the silica, this would just be mounted up high under the stand and swapped out as needed? I've never heard of it and sounds very manageable.
And it's an excuse to buy shoes. "But honey, we need the silica, you don't want moldy walls, do you?"

looks good man. how exciting.

i agree the canopy looks nice.
as for the aiptasia issue, i'd add the peppermints before moving it over. in case that solve it you can try other things to take care of it before it goes into the new tank.

Great photos.

You can view this tank in person at this years C4 conference. See everyone there.
You're bringing a frag tank?

Serious only? Party pooper.
The things that I see asked often here that may benefit from video.
1. Apex programming
2. Sump build (like construction techniques, not design).
3. Rodi hookup.
4. How to frag ____.

I think some of the display tanks at aquadome use them, too. But I don't think they are really set up for viewing at build my led. When I called she told me that the website is very true to what you'd see in real life. If your monitor shows colors right.

Wait till you get the doors on it. Then it'd be an even awesomer fort.

It happens to me sometimes using Google Chrome on android and I think it also happens using Firefox on windows 7. I just hit back button or view latest unread and it seems to be fine.

Any longevity tips?
My tip, don't tell your wife that.

i'm not sure how it would look, exactly. but for the drywall side doors you could use touch latches (push latches? not sure what everyone calls them). maybe put some trim around it to cover the gap. you can make one door for each kid and then they'd have little "framed" art places. keep your refrigerator clean for pizza coupons, take out menus, and those handy gimme magnets that tell you how to convert between teaspoons and cups.
this'll be fun. you have some of the best build threads.

Stupid iPad won't show a video (first world problems, right?). But whatever Elvis is, congratulations.

Maybe your daughter is just an old man at heart . Regardless, I approve of Ben and Jerry .

The tank is looking good, Kim. I am having a hair algae problem, too. I think I am going to try the water change and scrubbing thing.
