Sorry Mike, I have 1800 watts of light and 640 watts of it is actinic and the rest is 20K so very hard to get away from it and dont want to change my lights out to take pics and that pic is with all my lights on so only 33 percent is actinic. all of the blue light does make it hard for me to take good pics but im learning. It also hard for me to want to get creative for $3.00 -John

my $.02 on the naming thing. A red challice is worth about $40 till its a Flamethrower. Myself, I buy corals when I like that coral and I will pay flamethrower prices. if something is in my tank and I want to sell at LE prices the buyer doesnt have to buy it. If i buy an LE coral based on the sellers word that its a an LE coral, if i buy it its because I want it. Someone telling me they have a red challice doesnt mean anything to me till they say they have a Flamethrower. At that time I can look and see if I want it in my tank. I dont like the whole naming thing either but it seems to make things easier for me when purchasing. I guess my analogy is: my name is John Gilbert. If I said i was a white male 42 years old wouldnt help much in figuring out who i was.

needs to be at least 16 inches from a MH bulb and maybe off to one side to not get direct light. dont ge me wrong it will grow very fast otherwise but wont get its full color. just is a fast bleacher (but wont kill it). I have mine under 1800 watts of light and have placed correctly as to not bleach out.

Brooks - You have too much light on the Northern Lights. If you move away from lights a little farther it will look just like mine, dark green coralites with bright blue tips.
