I've found what I'm looking for!
A power strip with 6 individually switched outlets and a 7th that's permanently on, a 6ft power cord and a master on/off switch, all front mounted.
It's manufactured by Ultra model # ULT31570. Best price I can find is $17.99 from CDW.com

If I find some one selling just a ballast I'd be interested in 4 end caps. I'll let you know.

I'm looking for something with both the switch and the outlet on the front. The DJ ones are OK if you have access to the outlet on the back, which I don't. The ones I bought in the past from TigerDirect.com had 6 outlets each with individual switches and a 7th outlet that was permanently on, all on the front of the power strip. They had a 6ft power cord and only cost $14.99 each plus shipping. Radio Shack also had them but they no longer stock them!
-
Anyone know where you can buy power strips with individual switches for each of the outlets?
I've bought them in the past from www.TigerDirect.com buy they no longer stock them.
They're great for mounting in your stand and being able to swich off individual pumps, etc without unpluging them.
I've tried Googling them but so far no luck!

Kent Pro long handled scraper with replaceable blade. Handle lengths up to 36" available. Works great.

If you move it, it will will most likely move back again! It's going to find a spot where it's happy with with the water flow and light. Unfortunately this may not be where you want it to be! I've moved mine several times but he keeps moving back so now I just leave him alone.

The DIY 2 part solution and a dosing pump is a no-brainer solution for me. I figure the chemicals wiill cost about $20 including shipping for a 3 month supply. I'm goping to start with manual dosing as I do now with B-ionic, see how things go, then get a dosing pump for $90. You can can get everything you need from http://bulkreefsupply.com.

FYI, I just found this link

for an improved recipe which adds magnesium chloride (Mag Flake)
You can also purchase everything you need in a pre-measured kit from http://www.bulkreefsupply.com

Pics in the gallery.....excuse the lousy camera.
They were finally able to trap him last night and I picked him up earlier today. So far there's been no fighting, though I can't figure out if he and the foxface are going to be friends or enemies. The tomini picked the foxface's corner to hide in. If he's too low to the sand, the foxface headbutts him. And when he rises up a little in the water the foxface rises with him, staying right next to him. The coral beauty has checked him out and is disinterested now, but the dottyback hasn't spotted him yet. I'll post pics later when he's out of the corner.
Thanks, Troy, he's beautiful!
How's your Tomini doing?
I'm trying to decide on my next fish and a Tomini is high on the list. I'm looking for a tang that doesn't get too big and will peacefully co-exist with coral beauty and percs.

Many thanks Kris.
I'm acclimating him right now. He's opening up and looks fantastic.
Britfish, it was a pleasure meeting you. Folks, Britfish actually bought the larger one for $80.00. I have the small one still available. If interested, I have it ready to go. All you need to do is call me and come get it. I would prefer it gone today.817-891-7796

If it's in the sump who cares what color it is!
Black is hard to find and is great for covering open top tanks.
Keeps the fish in and the cats out!

I meant 4' x 2' NOT 8' x 4'

My Clarkii clowns hosted it immediately as you can see below.
It was white when small but now it's pinkish in color.
I'm asking $15 or will consider anything in trade.
I'm located just off 620 in Lakeway.
Call me if you're interested.

After checking some more I believe Catfish, like AquaTraders and Hombby, are resellers for Odyssea or some other generic light. I've been checking the forums and the new ballasts appear to me a major improvement, they run cool and no reported problems! IMO these lights are excellent value and I'm pleased to hear you haven't had any problems. Like you say the bulb is minor issue as you just replace them sooner rather than later.

I'm planning on upgrading my lighting and came across Catfish Lighting while searching the net.
They are made in the USA, excellent prices and claim customer service is #1.
Thought I'd share this with the rest of the group.
Check them out at http://www.catfishlighting.com

Power Strip with individual switched outlets
in Reef Keeping
Posted
I've been using two of these power strips on my 70G reef tank for about 6 months and they are great. The second power strip plugs into the 7th outlet on the first power strip so that you only have one power cord to connect to you GFCI. It makes maintenace so much easier when you can simply switch off any individual pump or lamp rather than unplug it.
FYI, I have found an even better price, only $14.50 each, see the following link. The company is based in Arlington, TX

I'm in the process of setting up a 215G FOWLR and just placed an order for 3 but they are back orderd until 2/15. Well worth the wait though.
