  3. It's about 18 months old and its all in a trash can right now and not easy to take photos.

I sold about 30lbs yesterday and need it gone asap.

It came out of my 72G Oceanic bow front which I took down over the weekend.

I'm busy cleaning everything up right now and will be posting everything for sale on here shortly.

How old is it and can you post a picture of it?

    Thanks

  4. I can give you if like this.

Thanks for the offer but I have placed on order online with reefcleaners.org.

I checked all the LFS is Austin and none had any. I have chaeto, caulerpa and ulva in my fuge but wanted to get some gracilaria as a food source for my tangs.

  5. I'm looking to buy a Dolabella Auricularia variety of sea hare.

I'm trying to get my hair algae under control and understand they are very effective.

Please PM me if you have one you want to sell.

  6. Why is it that airstones are not used in saltwater aquariums but they are used extensively in freshwater aquariums?

Don't marine fish need oxygen as much as freshwater fish?

As the water temperature rises isn't the amount of oxygen depleted? So why not use them?

I guess there must be a good reason but danged if I know what it is!

  7. Hi Andrew,

Thought I'd let you know the Pyramid Butterfly is doing great and eating well. Many thanks

    Thanks, Colin

Here is some updated prices. Don't expect them to go much lower.

    ----------------------------

Blonde Naso Tang $80 (Is anyone interested in the fish?!? It is way awesome and I want it to go to a good home.)

    Yellow Tang $20

Leopard Wrasse $50 ( <-- Will even eat flake food! super healthy and very fat!)

Large black brittle star - free with another purchase

    ----------------------------

Hammer Frag - free with another purchase

    Large pink bird nest $50

    XLage Acan Rock $75

    Green Maze Brain $50

Large browned out Montipora - free with another purchase

  8. I wouldn't attempt to split it. It will split on it's own when it's ready.

My BTA has split twice but my LTA hasn't split yet and I hope it doesn't. It's about 5" and I'd prefer it got bigger than split.

  9. I also got some chaeto from Steve @ Horizon but I guess my Madarin ate all the pods! I also have four clowns that love them and I'm having a hard time keeping enough pods for them. I've set up a new fuge with chaeto and sea lettuce and there's hardly any pods in it right now so I'm looking to seed it with some pods and control what gets released into the display tank so they can breed and multiply!

The Tigger Pods work well. I started off with a bottle or two in my tank several months ago. I also picked up some chaeto from Steve at Horizon a couple of times. His algae tank is chock full of them. I have a fuge section in the sump but also plumbed my seahorse tank into the reef and if I shine a light an hour or so after the lights go out, the bottom just boils with them.

The TPs are a little spendy, but these things multiply like crazy so it's not like you are going to need a lot of them unless your tank is monstrous.

Do you have a particular fish that needs them?

  10. Thanks for the offer but I have a lot of cheato and some sea lettuce.

The sea lettuce is growing great but the cheato is not doing very good at all and I need to find out why.

From my research it appears cheato does best under a 6700K light so I'm going to change the 50/50 PC bulb in my Aqualight with a 6700K bulb.

What bulb do you have over your refugium?

  11. My cheato is not doing that great. What light do you have on your refugium and how many hours a day is it on?

I have a small Aqualight with a 50/50 96W PC bulb and I think this is the problem.

I'm planning to change the bulb for a 96W 6700K PC. I don't have a lot of space over the fuge and I use the the Aqualight as its pretty slim.
