Ask and you shall receive. Alot of this rock is very porous however I dont find it very appealing. However its available if you need and some frags would be ok but not required. I also have a powerwasher so we could "hit" these if you prefer
303-847-9500 I'm available every day as I work graveyards and I live about 7 mins from Aquadome

I'll go lay the rock out and snap some pics

Did the drawing from the May meeting ever transpire? Some Rock set....?

Hello y'all
Sorry I have been away-I've been working nights doing armed security.
I found my tank getting neglected so I worked with my cousins (aquatic science teachers at Tuloso Midway) and came to a trade deal (no cash)
This will be her biggest tank in her classroom and I'm sure it will work out perfect for us. The brought up two tanks for me and a pair of clownfish and some peppermints that didnt make it.
I just set up over the past 2 days a 29 gallon biocube with everything except stand and a 30 gallon bowfront with hang on filter and protein skimmer, also a coralife light for it. I feel like it was a fair trade and I'm just happy this tank is going to live up to its potential.
I'm also alittle more excited that I get to jump back into the game. Funny thing when my wife and I we're looking at the fish store she kept spotting things you liked and my cousin was just telling her no to everything lol telling her she had to shop the nano section.
She settled on a batman our name for the black widow blenny. Going to have to find a small one she said she wants to scape her tank to look like gothom city and that will be her only fish lol..
I'm going to get water checked and see how things are looking
Thinking of trading or selling my pink spot goby he is a good 4 inches. I'm sure he's in a state of metaphorical shock losing so much real estate, and possibly picking up a nano goby. I also got two perculas (true I believe) that are about an inch and half. thinking about keeping those. Our tank transfer was very smooth I found my sea hare that was gobbling away he looked like a rock there on the bare sand when it was in the truck glad he got out and he's moving to Corpus. I dont know what happened to my green bubble tip. Hoping he shows up!?
I have alot of assorted rock left over if anyone's interested Will try and take some pics however I'm not too worried about it.
This is a good direction for me and I'm at peace. Would like for anyone to share their thoughts or tips and tricks on this downgrade. Kim we have alot to catch up on and I saw some nice Ukes at guitar center up near lamar. Also Patrick we need to get together soon. Sorry I missed the meetings I have been rather busy. Happy to say I got my VA disability (70 percent) and works been going great aside from the ppl that have tried to swing at me and have heart attacks.
Thank you so much for the support and friendship the past couple of months have been pretty rough
Oh I picked up the 100GPD RO unit from Aquadome and it was a breeze to set up, I just ran a water hose into the garage and added a tee to the faucet.
One Love

I agree with pat I'm still in tradegy stage...looks like corals are doing good. I'm thinking I'm going to take this time to strip the tank and remove the sand and rock...did not like at all and add new ones...might as well start a new cycle. Need to fix the skimmer pump by ordering a new impeller will take everyone up on offers

No Kim your good thesalinty dropped to 1.021 so it being high worked out. The skimmer wasn't running at the time. I think I'm going to downsize to picos like kim
-
Been using red sea from kim the water looks cloudy and has a sheen on top, there is no oil in it. My cousin had me put some water on a brown paper bag then put it in a pan on the stove, until it dried up, nothing..

Hey all, came home everything is dead. Fish, crabs, shrimp. I dont know where to start and I dont know what to do. I'm done this is completely depressing and disheartening.
I added 30 gallons of saltwater yesterday, and did a light feed, everyone was doing good. Skimmer has not been running as pump is down, I ironically had opened it up today and attempted to fix it. Salinity is at 1.021 and temp at 82.
I dont have any chem tests based on the protein sheen on top, I'm guessing there was maybe an ammonia spike or something, however adding 30 gallons last night should have diluted any problems. Had been feeding every 3 days since skimmer went down.
I'm out alot of money, and I dont know if I want to start again, this is an expensive hobby for us hourly employees. My heart is broken.

It got flooded, I'm still a little baffled myself. Upon questioning my wife it seems this could have been prevented or minimized and she didnt care or was lazy.
I left to work at 7 checked sump and main tank levels, everything was fine and ok the night before I had some problems arising from sump pump getting clogged even with pre filter
My wife went to volunteer at 11 and IDK what happened she stated that the sump looked like it was going to overflow, I told her what to do and even said if you dont know or your unsure disconnect everything.
She returned at 3 or so and said that that the main tank was less than half full and the sump was sump overflowing (32gallons) She then disconnected the Outs from the tank to sump and let the sump pump its 32 gallons back into the main tank)
(she didnt tell me anything but the tank is about to overflow (sump) at early afternoon not the part about losing half my water volume oh and you need to fix your water **** I'm tired of dealing with it. in the form of a text message.
I arrived home at 6 and the sump and pump were running dry the skimmer and mag12 pump were off (running dry) and tank was half empty Eheim was running empty. The water drained out onto the floor and into the garage due to badly leveled foundation. So the water is gone ppl, I need more. Thank you for all that helped and texted and offered. The only thing running in my tanks is the circ pumps/powerheads, the water is too low to turn the eheim on and my skimmer pump is dead...
-
Still need water Kim how much do you have made/ready? I have a bucket of instant ocean so I can reimburse salt.
-
Might have to
-
Mag 12 is not powering on it was running dry for a undetermined amount of time. any ideas?
-
do we have ARC pumps in case the mag 12 does not fire up
-
It appears the sump pump got clogged with Chaeto however when I got home both my tank and sump were empty (tank half) and my eheim return was in the tank (supposed to be in sump). My wife did call me at 3pm saying that the tank was about to overflow, I told her to fix the situation and unplug the sumps and returns and pumps? I've shown her the steps and situations before
IDK how it went from almost overflowing to both being empty? If one would have filled up and overflowed it would still be full. My sump should b.e overflowing. So the pumps were all running dry, I unplugged them so lets hope they are not paper weights.
I picked up a salt, 12 gallons of premixed.
My tank is okay at this time, and Kim is going to make me some water tonight. I'm not finding the pinkspot goby in the sump he or his body should have been in there and he's not on the floor. The weenie dogs could have ate him have to check the "Nest".

Hey folks my tank decided to do a water change while I wasn't home. I've lost about 100 Gallons or slightly less
My sump and tank are empty? Meaning my wife attempted to fix and didn't use logic or her college degree.
I'm going to run to Aqua Dome and get a bucket of salt. I'm hoping they can help me out with some water not so expensive or else I'm looking at 35 cents a gallon from fiesta/HEB please text me as I'm out the door...Its looking prettty bad. Anyone who can spare salt or water please hmu 303-847-9500 4803A Teri Road, Austin TexasStephen when you read this can you spare some water tomorrow? -
