I wouldn't try and force it down too quick. It seems like it's good to get it back to normal but if things look fine id still dose a small amount so it lowers slowly. I would try not to let it move like 2dkh at a time or you will make things mad most likely.

Sure has been quite a bit of hype on this matrix and suporax media for nitrate reduction, not sure if that's expensive for a big ol tank like yours though.

Yeah I have the t5 right now just because they were built in my tank, I'm actually liking them more than the kessils I had as far as colors on the corals. The radions are certainly proven and if I went led that's the only way I would go. The ati light is crazy cool though, Rory aka Juiceman just got one and it comes with quite the control panel. He hooked his up to the computer of course not the apex that I'm aware of. Cant wait to see it though!

Sounds like a good plan to me. I had to turn my lights down to 5.5 hours a day so your in the same boat. Whats the bumb combo your usin?

I would watch the corals. When I switched from the kessils to t5's stuff kinda bleached a little bit. Im not sure if they just have to acclimate to different light types or what.
