  1. Do you rinse the Hydrometer with water after use? Sometimes salt crystals will form on the arm and give you a false reading, also air bubbles on the arm will raise the arm too high. Just bang it on a solid surface to relase those bubbles. Though not a perfect instrument it will get you in the ball park..

  2. i'm not really judging them personally, actually. but, with these guys it would not be an issue if they weren't trying to open a new place, or possibly maintaining the same practices at their current places. i don't think it is unreasonable to consider their record in regards to whether an aquarium will be run properly. and, it is not as though these instances happened in the distant past where we can see that changes were made.

    Agreed!!

  3. I have a longer list of arrests than they do including dwi, and by the game warden for wildlife violations and I think I have changed a lot. Maby I should let you judge me as we'll so I know for sure.

No one needs to be judged here just everyone expressing there own opinions and such. Maybe a lil too much for my likeing but opinions none the less. The forum is here so that we can express our thoughts and feelings about things and to be a part of a community that interacts with each other about such things. We are, to an effect, the foodies of the hobby and we should be concerned about the goings on with the Covino Aquariums. Again that is why we have such a great forum to discuss this. Thank you for being honest about your past and Kudos for you for making such a change. Like i said in my previous post i'm going regardless because i love the hobby alot and want to see new fish and variations of aquascapes........Oh and the AC.......

  4. Already cleaned the excess silicone off. didn't take long to do it. Yeah i peeled the tape before it stuck and yes i'm leaving the corner angles. I'm placing my order for the eurobrace next week using 3/8 glass all around. I was thinking 3" wide all around the top. I've done several of the little tanks and all have held water fine. But this one is really big so i'm taking my time with it. It looks really good so far....No updated picks yet. I'm going to make the internal overflow this week end at my work. Should come out good since i'll be cutting it using a turret punch.

  5. So after a long time of doing nothing to the tank i finally had enough and finished putting it together this weekend. I had all the panels precut and had drilled the holes using a 2=3/4" holes and 3=1". The stand still needs alot of work but it's mostly just skinning and i can do that as time allows. For now the main thing was to finish the tank. With the help of my wife we put it together. I still have to go back and clean out the silicone excess but all in all it went together nicely. Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't leak. Still need to eurobrace the top but i'm going to order the glass from Binswinger so that it's straight and true. I FINALLY PUT IT TOGETHER BRIAN!!!!! HA!!!!!

  6. Awesome cars guys. Really into the Oldsmobile and fastbacks. My favorite is still the Nova. That was my first car... Here are a few pics of my 73 Oldsmobile Omega, has the body of a 73 Nova and front end of an Olds. Had just done the front subframe with my son.

Still need a ton of work to do but its coming out nice.

Looks great. Where do you get your parts?

I got the suspension parts from Autozone, and the new disk brake from CPP (Classic Performance Products). Scored the front disk brake setup for cheap on Ebay , CPP had several stuff at discount prices and i still got them to go lower on the price. The rebuild kit was also from Ebay, but still need to get the heads done so i can finish the top end. All Chrome i got from Ebay also....Man i love Ebay.
