      Why not just screw the LED down, and use other methods of cooling?

      screw them in and use thermal grease

      thermal grease and screws, frys had thermal adhesive just the other day when i was there. maybe Altex? In a pinch I've blended thermal grease with high temp jb weld and it worked great.
