  1. Oops, forgot to mention the percula/ocularis clown. Again, I thought there would be a problem with the maroon, but I guess because the new one is bigger, the maroon has left the new addition alone.
  2. My two pink wrasses are not wrasses but anthiases. So my tally of fish is as follows in order of add: Maroon Clown Lavender Tang Flame Angelfish Foxface Rabbitfish Yellow Tang Green Mandarinfish Banggai Cardinalfish - 2 Only two corals yet: Rock covered in green mushrooms Kenya tree
  3. Thanks, James. I always wonder about those things that I knowingly didn't put in my tank. You know, like Aiptasia and other creepy crawlies. The maroon was the only fish in the tank for over a week, but most of the fish that have been added since are larger than he/she.
  4. Also found this bristleworm today. Is he good or bad?
  5. New Fish! Also got a couple of really pretty pink wrasses, but they are shy like the flame angel. A pair of Bangaii Cardinals as well, but also shy at the moment. My maroon clown (Marlin) is not sure what to think about all of the company.
  6. Here's a pic of the lavender tang. He is fast, so tough to get him clearly! This is like the 13th snap. Got a lot of tail shots and shots of it turning, before I got this one shot. I'll get another one eventually. Enjoy!
  7. I decided I Am going to do a fowlr tank. There are to many cool fish you can't have in a reef tank. But I also like the coral. So I decided why not have both then I can do either or. ummmm..... i thought we were doing a fowlr....
  8. Added two new fish (lavender tang and fire angel) and a rock covered in green mushrooms. I will post pics when the fish come out from the rocks.
  9. Thanks, Jason, I will check on that today.
  10. Thanks for the tip, Mike. I'm going to tackle that problem tonight. I'm hoping I can adjust the pipe down far enough so no stand is needed.
  11. Hi fishy pets, sorry for the late response. Yes, I was planning on keeping all of the rock. Do you think it's too much? It's about 150ish lbs. of rock in a 144gal tank.
  12. Thanks, Warren, it is a euro reef and I found the owner's manual. am dialing it in now. I need to pull it out so that I can get a good grip on the locking collar for the top cup. That way when the cup gets dirty I can get it disconnected.
  13. Well, tank is back to almost full function. The new pump faceplate is on, and properly attached to the system. Viola! No geyser! Now I'm wondering about my protein skimmer. When I plugged it in, it didn't fully fill for awhile. After 20 minutes or so, it filled so full that the upper cup was 1/2 full of water and the bubbles were overflowing. Is there an adjustment somewhere for the water level?
  14. Received another 50lbs. of rock yesterday. Here is my first attempt at aquascape. Tomorrow the part for my pump should be in and back in business.
  15. We mounted the halide in the front center of the canopy and didn't want to burn the center plastic support on the top of the tank. I called Oceanic and explained what we wanted to do. He initially said that the support was there to support the center of the bowing front glass. I explained that there was absolutely no tension on the center support and that it looked like it was there to support glass lids. He agreed that might be the case, but recommended we do something to replace that bracing. Here's what Mike came up with:
  16. Sorry, have to do that the next time the canopy is off. That SOB is cumbersome to handle by ones self. I'll get one taken though!
  17. Day 3 - Lights. Ran into a bump. The pump's outflow had been "retooled" for some unknown reason and the hose blew off. ***Note to Self*** a Mag 18 w/o an out hose connected is a geyser!!! New pump face cover on order. For now have power heads circulating the tank. Thanks to all for your comments! More to come...
  18. Here's day one. Thanks to Warren and Kenny for all their help and guidance. I'm sorry we missed the meeting today, but next month will have to do. More to come...
  19. How large is the rock? I'm preparing to set up enigma13's 144g 1/2 round tank and need some large rock. Oops! Should have scrolled further
