  1. Recently started up my 110g tank and looking for some nice additions.

Not looking for anything specific, but have always liked zoa's, mushrooms, chalice, & monit's.
Would be ideal if someone has multiple colorful pieces that we could do a frag pack. Prefer N. of the river, but open to making a trek S.

    Thanks

  2. We could, but understandably, each shipment would need to meet the min requirement for free shipping. Otherwise, just have to split the shipping between the people on that delivery.

I'm sure you northerners will be able to qualify for free shipping pretty easily.

No biggie. I don't need much at all, and there doesn't seem to be any other southern folks that need cleaners right now.

  3. I ended up just doing my own order as there wasn't any interest at the time, and I needed a crew to get to work. ;)

ReefCleaners group orders are pretty easy to set up. John is very responsive and great to work with.

I could probably use a few more hermits.

  4. It would mostly depend on how fast you want the aptasia gone. I have a 34g with about 65lbs of rock that was overrun with aptasia. I had aptasia on the glass, powerheads, sand, everywhere. I got 7 berghia and within two months the aptasia has been completely consumed.

The way they clean a tank of aptasia is by breeding. One bergia can lay 150+ eggs at a time. Obviously they are feeding the entire time, but the aptasia is also spreading. The good thing is that berghia reproduce faster than aptasia, so eventually their numbers increase to a point where they overcome the aptasia. It took about 3 week before I noticed a decrease in aptasia. I got very busy with work and kids, then one day I looked in the tank and I had to search to find aptasia. Week or so later and it was completely gone, & I was seeing berghia roaming around during the day, which is very uncommon as they are nocturnal hunters.

They are pack hunters and need a couple to reproduce, so at the bare minimum, one would need 3 to begin the reproduction process. If you don't mind waiting a bit, then that would be enough, but if you want it gone faster, then a larger crew will do the job quicker.

Because berghia nudibrances are not very common, each of the online sellers that I was able to find have a very detailed explanation of the nudibranches as well as their behavior & reproduction.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

  5. I have a "project" tank that had a ton of aptasia in it. I had heard and read good things about berghia nudibranches ridding aptasia, so gave them a chance.

It's been exactly two months and there is not a single aptasia left. The berghia are hungry, & I'm seeing them roaming around all the time now. Last night I collected 4 for a friend and saw another 4 cruising around.

Soooo I may as well start selling them off.

    $15 per for big adults.

  6. I picked up a frag of the Tyree Flower Petal, & watermelon from Stone and I can tell ya that the pics do not do them justice. The watermelon is a fast grower.

I will probably be rolling over to Stone's casa to pick up one of these frags, so I could help transport something ALL the way back to Austin, or RR if someone is interested in one of these, but doesn't want to make the drive. I live at Slaughter and Manchacca, but work in RR. I frequently bring stuff up to RR (in a cooler) so it's not a problem.

  7. Thanks for the update Rob. That explanation, along with the example video's you've posted have really helped me visualize the different grades. Now it's just a matter of selecting which one(s) I want. ;)

On a side note for others. I should mention that in my experience, a clowns colors will generally become more defined as it matures. At least that has been my experience with ocellaris and maroon gold striped clowns.
