i think im going to lower the teeth on the box and add a gurgle buster and see if that fixes the problem.

I will be home all night tonight, come pick them up, think theres about 5 or 6 frags. Some are 1-2" some are 2-3" with multiple branches. txt me if you can make it tonight.

I finaly got rid of all of mine they were branching off too fast.

try running a 5"+ air tube down the hole at the top of the durso

does the tube run into the sump and come out of the water or stay in.

Ok everyone I could use some help finishing up my new 75 gallon. I purchaced a 75 with a corner overflow and a 1 inch bulkhead at the bottom and I’m having issues with my overflow.

I tried nothing in the overflow area and sounded like someone peeing in a toilet and flushing at the same time. Very loud ,like I expected.

Next I tried a durso stand seemed to not drain as fast as my return pump. I’m using a Rio 2400 a pretty weak pump at 4’ with a SQID thing attached. So I’m lucky to get 400 gph out of it. Plus I was using this same pump on my 40 gallon and a overflow box and it worked fine (1 inch bulkhead on the overflow box). I’m guessing my hole at the top of the durso stand is too large. Any ideas? Will post pics soon. Thanks Dave

I think when i was running my 75 with only one 1" bulkhead it was pushing close to 950-gph if not more...............

what your 75 set up like mine with a corner overflow?

I just set up my new 75gal tank over the weekend, and I had a few questions about the best way to set it up.

Info about the 75 tank

-standard 75 tank (Oceanic 4'x20"x18")

-two sided corner overflow

-1" drain at the bottom of the tank

- Tank is dry I’m still working on the plumbing

Question 1- I have read that 1" bulkhead drains at about 300gph can anyone verify that because it seem kinda low.

2- I’m concerned about noise if the overflow is going to sound like a waterfall or worse a toilet.

If you have any tips or advice from past experiences let me know as well.
