Hey Niko, I'm interested.

I have a few questions though..

1) You said "mated", as in "spawning"?

2) Do you have vids, pics of spawns?

3) Do the males fertilize eggs and do the eggs hatch from both pairs?

4) Any pics of offspring?

5) you mentioned both are from ORA... I would assume they are siblings? Any info here?

6) Any deformaties that I shld know about...underbites, dented heads etc?

7) headed to SA anytime soon?

Did they lay on something that you can pull out Mike?

Hatch night will typically be the night after you see silver eyes. Typically you would pass on collecting the first couple of batches while you get their cycle down...then you know what night they will hatch on because all pairs are different.

About half hour- hour after lights out they should hatch once you know when hatch night is.

I prefer pulling the eggs on hatch night and adding to a small system like 5g with rigid airline, digital thermometer and heater. Tank should be made up of display tank water at same time of pull or collection.

Use a cup or a syphon tool such as large turkey baster for collecting. Make sure pumps are off and everything is dark except a little spot light that the fry will swim to.

Next up is..

Half Onyx misbar female and premium snowflake male. They are currently in cycle and I'm pulling a large clutch from them every 10-12 days. Male is fertile and I have been rearing babies for a couple of months now.

This pair has been together for awhile and the lineage is Sea and Reef. This was one of their broodstock pairs. The male looks like a black ice snowflake because he is dark. The female is large 3" and the male 2". The male has connecting front bars that are highlighted in blue. Very nice pair.

This pair makes snow onyx hybrids.

I do not have pics of the fry with full patterns yet as I have only had the pair a couple of months...but within a couple of weeks they were dropping for me. I have a few hundred babies in growout right now from this pair. Very healthy babies.
