Those are some amazing additions.
As I am about to have to start ordering to stock my 75gal, would you recommend ordering a "difficult" fish such as an Achilies through them?
Usually go through an LFS but if you vouch I'd def consider going through LiveAquaria.

Playa is great, the cave pools really are awesome. Both Playa del Carmen and Cozumel have great snorkeling and diving. Another amazing place(CHEAP) is Jamaica.

Lol, uh oh.

Updates!!!!

Aqua-cultured only may not be fair for those who wish to participate but do not have existing coral tanks (doesn't apply to myself), also the $ sign may be a bit higher when ordering if that's the case.
Just something to consider, I'm pretty excited!!

This is awesome. I took a small forum hiatus, but I love this idea. I don't chime in often anymore-but I am down whenever it starts(didnt read whole thing, lmk if I'm too late)!!

GAC should help. it looks like a green cyano or film algae. i would try to feed less mysid and more flakes / pellets until you can get a grip on the problem...maybe alternate what you feed on different days. not sure if you have tried or have any snails, but there are some snails that will go to town on it (if it is film algae).

50/50, that last pic is with the trulumen 3 led strips. one actinic and one 10k.

it keeps me into the hobby at least! appreciate it

didnt really mess with this tank much during march. spring football ended so i did my March water change and added some fishies. the zoas are finally starting to "spread"
-
really cool to see how far this tank has come, i remember your first post about figuring out that tapwater was the problem waay back when. it looks great
-
also, added a 2nd heater to keep the temp stable.

it's been awhile but on the way back to Hammond today I picked up some awesome corals in Houston....and some other stuff . Will post pics tonight!

all I consistently maintain is my little nano now, but knowing in a couple of months I'll be in a rental home or appt, everything you post is like food for thought. Keep it up Hydro, Timfish, subsea, And everyone else. I know I'm not the only person reading "from the shadows."

these were taken a couple days back, but the polyp extension is great. it is always interesting to see how polyp's change color under different light as well.
i put in a damsel too and did a small WC, i'll post when the water clears up (i got some sand strewn around and it made my pistol shrimp mad so he is redigging.)

little tank is taking off. pods, worms, and little critters everywhere. zoas are giving great polyp extension. pretty happy with the way it is looking.

Glad hear it. Wasn't sure, thought that the pistol shrimp was maybe "different" and would only take meaty food.

Nah, not looking to get an Achilles. Was just saying a "difficult" fish, such as an Achilles (that you ordered).
I'm more interested in wrasse/dwarf angels. Just don't know if I want to order through a shop or order online. Either way they will be tough lol
