Thanks for the recommendations! For the Varios, is it fairly straightforward to run it with an Apex?

My closed loop pump died on me and I need a replacement. I was using a Waveline DC 10000 II and really liked it but it's no longer made. My tank is 150gal, 48x30, and the pump will run a closed loop that is my main circulation since I don't run any powerheads. Anyone running a DC pump they really like? Hopefully quiet and reliable.

50 gal drum. It's only been used once to hold saltwater and I washed it out well with vinegar and lots of fresh water.

I'm not really able to help out because of my young kids, but I hope someone is able to help you out! I know how relaxing a nice tank is. You'll get there! It sounds like you're on the right track.

I like that you can feed anything with an open tank. Which is a lot of stuff. They have a high turnover of animals. Not sure if it's poor care or what. I take my kiddo there often. I've learned if you go in the middle of the week you usually get more krill to feed the animals with. And they are more excited to eat. The krill is expensive and there are no snacks offered at a concession stand. We can get through in about an hour. ARC and MAAST members get in free. Oh, it's not allowed but the krill drive the sharks crazy. That's always exciting. Just don't get caught. And no one rat me out either LOL.

Wondering what will happen to your tank in a power outage? This is one option! I bought this a couple years ago and never ended up using it. I no longer have the box but it's been well stored. I plugged it in just now and it turns right on. In new condition. Here's a link to all the specs:
