Aquajohn what objective experiments are published that show led lights grow as well as MH? I have not seen anything objective other than someone saying it worked it their tank. I will gladly drink the kool-aide if I see objective evidence they are as good.

I realize the article is old, but have been hearing talk of it recently. Will be interesting to see what happens anyway. I am still not sold on LEDs giving me the growth that my MH lights do.

Guess this will be the next "big" thing.

Thanks Craig. I will try to track them down.

at one point I had a tank in my bedroom that has wood floors(bad idea if you are a light sleeper). I had a rug with a rubber back that I used around it when I was doing maintenance. I also was very vigilant of spills and drips. Never had any issues.

Thanks. I am kinda old school and like to actually have a reference guide in my hand rather then looking on the interwebs.

Does anyone know of a good coral reference book? Like an encyclopedia of corals? Thanks.

I used them when I had a bc29 with the skimmer cup for the tunze 9002. I was not overly impressed with the skimmer cup but was happy with the other basket.

I have used vinegar and a syringe on aptasia successfully but never tried it with majano. I would just pull the rock out also. I just had to pull a rock out of my tank for a different reason. Think that is the safest course of action.

Would dipping corals prior to putting them in swap tank solve cross contamination issue?

I run a booster pump and mine is consistently 90-95psi. No issues in the 9 months it has been set up.

Thanks Derrick.
Here are some pics.
Noise is coming from the left side, right behind the skimmer above where it dumps into the skimmer. I am getting lots of air into the sump from the overflows. I have tried different size holes on the Durso pipes. I built the Durso pipes using the plans from www.dursostandpipes.com. I would also like to start using filter socks.

I have a 125g w/ 55ish sump. I have replumbed it twice trying to quiet it down. Unfortunately my efforts have failed. I am getting the flushing sound from the lines underneath. Is there anyone that is a rock star in plumbing tanks? I am willing to provide beer, materials and reasonable compensation to anyone that can quiet the tank down. Thanks.

I am willing to host also.

Do you know what the flow is on the pump? What part of town?

If you want to access to controller outside your network. Like from work or while on vacation using the interwebs. Do you have the unofficial setup guide? It has a lot of good info. If not pm me your email and I will send it to you.

From a c prompt (cmd prompt) type
Nslookup
If dns is set up correctly then it should give you the ip address. What dns service are you using?
-
Do you know the host name? U can try an nslookup to get the ip address.

I have both. The alk tester is dead on. The calcium checker is dead on sometimes and off by 50ppm other. On the calcium checker I think they have an issue with their reagents.

I set my 125 up for 5-6 turns an hour using an Eheim 1262. I am starting to question that low number of turns per hour. I have seen a lot of 125s' using Mag18 pumps. Anyone have any advice or suggestions on this topic?

+1 James.
I think there are just as many arguments for having a heater as there are for not having one.
