You have to be careful with chemiclean. Follow the direction exactly and don't overdose. You probably do not have more than 15g of water volume after you figure rock and sand.

I was able to get rid of it in that tank by doing 10 gallon water changes every couple of days, manual removal and adding phosguard. Took about two weeks.

I will be able to tell you after this weekend if they are worth. I am putting them in this weekend to see if they solve my noise issue.

Finally got this done. The Mac OS firmware updater never would work. I finally brought my work laptop home and did it. In case someone else runs into an issue updating the firmware, the apex AND the computer pushing the update have to be hardwired to the router for it to be successful. Once I hard wired them both in it took 30 seconds.

I don't know why you couldn't use a good exterior paint since they are typically made to "seal" wood from the elements on a house.

Special Grade Reef Sand ( I think that is the name). Jake told me it was his best selling substrate. I have been really happy with it.

Just switched my bulbs out and have 4 80w Odysea t5 actinics and 3 250 DE Odysea 10k halide bulbs. They have been used since late February about 8 hours a day. Anyone interested in trading a frag of any kind for them? If not, free to good home.

I am going to try to make it. Seems like something always cones up at the last minute.
