I very seldom enclose the back. It can be but I generally don't because of plumbing , cords, etc. It also promotes circulation of air to the sump, if used.

I have been working on a Stand for a 58g and thought I'd post a few pix...It has rounded corners, crown molding top and bottom, picture frame doors and the tank sits down into the stand to hide the trim. It will be stained Cherry. Here are a few pix. I need to do some finish sanding to start the stain tomorrow. This is for a friend of mine and I will post pix of the staining and finished product later.

I'll see what I can do with my crappy camera...I think I have a picture of the colony but not the frag. I'll look thru my 1000's of pictures. I want to add this 7-8 polyps for $45: Australian Prism Favia and this one....25 polyps for $50 (2 dollars a polyp)

We have some accidental SPS frags made by moving some corals and trying to catch a fish. 2- 1-1/4" frags of Tyree Pink Lemonade (ATL Lineage).... DSB or BB? I would not use the old sand. When I set-up my 280g, I tried to rinse my sand...it is incredibly hard to rinse 300# of sand and we never got the stench out, so we used new sand and just seeded it. I would use as much old water as possible and do as much move at one time as humanly possible.
