  1. well i resealed my new tank. i was very impressed with the silicone i used. never seen anything so strong and dry so fast. i took me almost 9 hours from scraping the old silicone off and cleaning and re applying the new silicone. From the research i read its not something you want to rush. Im very pleased. Now i need to figure out how to make a stand lol... 120g wide
  2. i would like the ato top off with pump. going to pm you
  3. i found a 120(4footer) gallon tank i bought. but the stand is in bad shape. think i may have to build one.
  4. its time to upgrade. wife finally said i could start shopping. I prefer the 4ft(48inch) 120 gallon tank. but if theres a better deal on something else im all for it. thanks for your time. You can pm me or text me at 254-421-2282 Jerrad
  5. i bought a impeller, new airtube and a gatevalve... i recieved the impeller today and now its working great.
  6. its working but. i still have to blow in the airtube to make it start skimming. it will sucks water by itself though.
  7. im not sure how old it is. i only paid 60$ for the setup. imo which was a great deal. i cleaned everything out and took a drill and and redrilled through the hole to make it a tad bigger seemed to do ok. we will see what happens. i really like the simple design and seems to work very well. im thinking about getting the gate valve mod for it and maybe do the recirc mod, if i figure out how to do it.
  8. i took it apart and cleaned it no major build up. ive only ran the skimmer for about 2 months so it wasnt that dirty. i still have to help it by blowing through the airline to get it start skimming. it will suck water into the skimmer by itself but not make bubbles until i blow into the airline
  9. i have the asm g1x skimmer with the sedra 3500 pump. in the last week ive noticed when i turn the skimmer on it wont skim correctly or make bubbles unless i blow in the airtube. today i had to keep cycling power for it to work. has anyone owned this product or similiar. i really cant afford a new skimmer atm. i heard alot of bad news about these pumps. i dont know what to do. should i buy a new pump? is there better pumps for it? just worried and dont know what to do. i want to be prepared for when it does completely shut down
  10. I just built a sump/fuge. i plan on having some cheato and whatever else i can put in there. my fug is about 12inches long, 18inches deep and about 18inches wide. what kinda of lighting should i use to allow everything to strive? i dont want a hi tech light, just something that will do the job. someone told me i could buy a fixture at lowes/ home depot, but i have no idea what kind, and what kinda bulb. and can i buy the bulb from the same place... Im also ciurious if i should put either live rock or sand at the bottom. thanks looking for any suggestions this is all new to me
  11. im really sorry hope everything works out.
  12. didnt think they sold that much ): oh well gl
  13. i have a 2 yrd old boston terrior.... awesome dog, stubborn and very energetic. plus it took forever to get house broken and several friends i know of said the same. your puppy has good markings. dogs with white markings around the eye are harder to keep clean...
  14. i want one but i cant make it down today ):... maybe ozark can grab me one if u got extra!
  15. 29gallon fish tank 20$
  16. but im going to lowes tomorrow and buying a "t"... Is there a way u can buy a filter sock from a local store or make one yourself?
  17. well i can increase the overflow. by lowerin the box to allow more water to drain out. but i noticed when i did that, it allows more water to fill the sump and cause a overflow when i turn the sump off.
  18. i was thinking about putting a t where the valve is now and moving the valve to the left side of the "t" and allow the extra water to go back in the sump so i can control the flow without putting any more back pressure on the pump
  19. Im using a mag 12 return pump and its pushing more water back into my tank than my overflow will take out... I currently have a valve on my return line to limit my mag 12. Im worried i may damage my pump. I was thinking i should possibly make a T and moved the valve to the T and allow the extra water to go back into my sump and not causing so much back pressure on my pump. What do u guys think? or will my pump be fine? if im not making sense i can take pics. thank you
