So somewhere in my 180 is a leak, and I'm having to downgrade to a spare 125 I got from my dad, but it's only 60" long. So I need a new light. I'm selling this one for $500 OBO or trade for a 60" light or even a retrofit good enough to cover 60". There are a few problems with the light, such *** all the bulbs are due to be replaced, the LED's haven't worked since I have owned it, and one of the legs is broke (cheap fix from current). Also one pc bulb doesn't light up, most likely just a bad bulb. But overall it's a great fixture and has grown SPS in a 24" deep 180 with no problems. It currently has 2 ushio 10k's on the outside 2 halides, and an XM 15k in the center.

I don't know if this is the right forum to put this in, but i would like to invite everybody out to the MyScct.com (my saltwater club of central texas) October meeting. It will be held on Oct 2nd at the Addicted2corals.com shop in killeen. Pm me for directions, or once i clear it with the owner to post the address, ill post it here. I know there are a few people here who would really like to come out and see the new store and buy something. They always have a great deal or sale going on. Lots of very nice corals. We will be raffling off a $50 gift certificate to Addicted2Corals.com and a Tunze powerhead (still undecided on the model, will post when its decided on). Tickets will be $10 per ticket, and Premium Myscct.com members will recieve 2 tickets for every purchase. We will also be doing a water testing meeting, so everybody who plans to attend please bring a bottle of your tank water and a bottle of your top off water. Also, please take note of your tanks temperature before you leave so we can add that to your results. If you would like more information, you can call me at 254-247-6691. We hope to see you there and help support a new local Saltwater only store.

Something I saw on RC was to put a ziploc bag over the back of the teeth and down into the overflow box, this keeps the water flowing along something so that it doesn't have any disruptions and doesn't make any noise. The person I saw doing that just used zip ties to hold it in place, wrapped around two teeth of the overflow.

Sorry. The tank is in great condition, the stand isn't pretty, but very easy to get to everything. The skimmer isn't a really good one, but it gets the job done. The head unit is messed up on the reefkeeper. If you want more info, or offer a different price, just call him up and ask him.

I'm sorry, but I don't have any pics to show. I linked to our club myssct.com and posted his thread. It has like two pics in it.

Te RSCP? And you know the halide is only a 70w right? He called me to get your number earlier today so I thought he was gunna call you.

Te pics are a couple of posts down and aren't very good, but you get the idea of what the stand looks like.

I don't have any pics, but there are two very old ones on myscct.com in the large tank section. I don't know if he would be interested in parting out just yet, and it's a standard 210. I think 72x24x30?

Lou is a good guy to deal with. He always has the best stuff, and pretty good prices too.

I live in copperas cove, and could hold some corals for you if it's closer to travel from Houston to here than Austin. I have a 180 with a mix of everything mostly LPS and SPS an a light bioload.

Oh yeah texting or calling is the easiest way to get ahold of me.
254-247-6691 my name is eldon.

Ok I have 6 heads of green candy canes for sale or trade. There are 3 main stalks with 2 heads a peice. A little smaller than a baseball I guess. I would like $20 for it, or trade for some other kind of LPS. I live in copperas cove, about an hour away from Austin.
-
So what did you decide to do?
-
A quick smack with a hammer should break it off. But if I was you I would leave it. It will color up and look just like rock eventually, and it will be a conviniant place to mount corals still.

I had a 250w 2x65w pc fixture for about 2 years from them. I can't complain a bit about it. The only reason I don't have it anymore is becuase upgraded to a 180 and it came with a light. The oddysea 15k bulbs were nice too. Thinking about buying from them to replace my xm 10k's when the time comes.
-
You can, but the actual bulb holder is alot smaller for a 150w than for a 250w. It's doable, but it's probably not worth it.

I soak myfood in garlic xtreme, but I wonder if I'm doing it wrong. I take a chunk of frozen home made food and put it in a glass of tank water to defrost. I put a couple of dropsnot the garlic in the glass while it's defrosting, then when it's all broke up (usually a couple of minutes) I use a turkey Baster to feed with. You see anything wrong with how I do it?
-
I guess it was about 3 days. I was working so I didn't really notice that he was dead until it was way too late. I have probably 50 crabs, 2 conch's, sand sifting stars, Nass snails, turbo snails.
-
I would do water changes every couple of days. That's pretty much the key to fixing anything in this hobby.
-
I had the exact same thing happen in my 180. A 3.5" yellow eye kole tang died from ich, and I didn't think it was that big of a deal. It spiked my ammonia and that coupled with ichbon my other fish just about wiped out my livestock. Went from 13 fish to 3 in less than a week. With water changes. Just a helpful (hopefully) warning.
For sale or trade 72" current outer or it 3x150w MH fixture

I decided to retrofit this one into the hood of my 60" tank, so it's no longer for sale.
