  1. Try a Kole Tang or anything from the bristle tang family. I can drop a rock from your tank in mine and it will be clean by morning. I do it all the time when buying corals from yuck tanks (no offence). I also have a Molly Miller Blenny which I got from the coast who doesn't care if it's bryopsis or hair it's just lunch. My 240g is picked clean constantly and I never have a problem with anything. One other thing to try but woun't make a huge dent, mollies.
  2. A crustacean of a bug. Not a sand flea though my tank is loaded with them, this guy is flat like a pill bug. I have at least 100 stomatas in my growth tank and I'm sure it is not a snail. It jigs around like a sand flea when bothered however.
  3. As a good lot of you know I am an avid collector of the Euphyllia Corals Anything that floats waves and looks pretty really. Anyhow hammers being my primary collection as I have ten different strands right now. I grow concerned when they well, just die. Originally I thought brown slime but after the last ones were simply sloffing off with no brown I have grown increasingly worried as to the culprit. I began washing them at random in coral rx. Today I found a new bug that I can not identify on my pastel purple wall hammer. It was to small to successfully photograph but maybe someone can help me with an ID. It was about 2mm long, clear with 2 small black dots which I assume were eyes along with visible "guts" behind the eyes. The bug was similar to a common pill bug and it had a hard shell. It moved rapidly and lasted almost 10 minutes in the coral rx. Can anyone identify? Could this new bugger be making a meal of my hammers?
  4. Now I hove found 3 hosts! on one feather! I swear I have never seen 3 on one star. Crazy!
  5. I'm sure someone will chime in who has used them but I usually just wedge softies deep in a crack. As long as some part of it see's daylight it will attach and grow out. Try this on for size. http://www.garf.org/.../COLTmoves.html What color did you get?
  6. Im sure there are plenty of elastic bands in the ocean right?
  7. My feather star decided to move to the other side of my 8' tank in the day time. Very rare to catch him on such a massive move! Again sorry for miss pronouncing it about 20 times. I'm working on voicing over it all with my limited software. Help me mark! lol So I found another host! A crinoid crab. Very odd that I had not seen him before considering dwarfs the other hosts at about the size of a quarter. So that makes 3. The lobster, crab and shrimp all share this little guy!

  9. I actually would put my money on the nudibranch. They lay eggs in spirals. How long has it been in the tank? Nassarius snails lay in a different pattern.

  18. Right now spot fed cyclop-eeze mixed with coral frenzy. In addition it is reccomended that you stir the rubble in your sump as they feed off the detrius also. Also! I found a crinoid lobster! It was on the other feather!

    Brine Shrimp

Aquadome! They sell them in bags live at the register. When I get theirs I just pole holes in the bag and leave them in the tank, they last for weeks!
