  1. Shut down (bought) a system this weekend in a hurry, so now everything that isn't going into my DT is in a trough at my house. Sorry for crappy photos, but he had already started tearing it down before I got there and I'm not going to get good shots in the trough. Trough is 110gal and roughly 53" x 36" top lip so use that for size comparison.

Live rock $1.50/lb, this is from a 5 year old established system. MOST of it is 100% clean and happy, but some did come from a smaller system that had some hair algae but still pest free. He had several large angels, butterflies, harlequin tusk, filefish, etc. So anything that would have been bad/moving in or on this rock was eaten quickly.

Large yellow finger leather colony. This rock is easily 15#+ and 15" across. Possibly could break it up into smaller rocks, but don't wanna. $50

    Large GSP rock - 10#" 12" or so - $40

    Smaller GSP rocks $15+

RBTA - $30/ea. Some rocks have multiples, if you want those we can work out a deal. I think one rock has 3, another has 2. Or I can break them off individuals.

Mated percula pair goes with one anemone $60

I still have a Rainbow BTA from pham in my system for $60, a normal RBTA for $30, and a tiny (2") Sherman for $20.

Why not list some superman rhodactis from my system while we're here. I can probably cut off single mushrooms for $10/ea minimum 2. Or I have a decent 7" rock that has 12+ on it for $80 obo.

Pickup nights/weekends in Georgetown on most of this stuff. If you want I can bring to work in the arboretum area M-F 9-5, but if it's rock.... you don't get to choose pieces.

  2. Picked up these fish from a tank shut down, when I bought all livestock. Was going to try to introduce them to the left side of my tank and hope the Goldbar Maroons who live on the right would leave them alone. No such luck, maroons are coming much farther out than they ever had before and annoying them in the acclimating box.

Clowns go with your choice of anemone.

$60 for the pair with a small rose bubble tip

$80 with the medium Rainbow Bubble Tip

Rainbow is the larger one inside the acclimator, rose is little guy outside. He doesn't like to stay put.

Remaining anemone will be sold after clowns go.

    Georgetown.

    cut it

If nobody else can use it as a whole, I will.   (As I said at the end of my post)

It just looks like an awesome piece in one chunk. I have plenty of rock with the other 70# that I can reduce this to rubble and toss it in the sump with no worries, it just is a real nice large piece as-is.

Nice rock!  Per forum rules though, please list a price

Nobody said I follow the rules!!!

    $60

Updated first post, not sure how I missed adding it. That's what I get for playing internets at work in between talking to people.

  5. Purchased 100# dry rock to redo some aquascape and ended up with this huge chunk I can't easily use. Its really a great center or shelf piece to build on as the top is rather flat with an awesome overhang/cave, I just can't use it as additional rock in my tank without redoing everything.

    19" x 14" x 8"

    ~32#

    $60 OBO

If nobody wants it as a big chunk, I'll just break it up, but wanted to offer it as is first.

Free can HEB lime sparkling water with every purchase.

  6. Nicely done. Any concern on the drivers being so close to the MH and them getting roasted?

Not really. They have been going for 18mo with no driver issues. Its the same place in the fixture where the original PC ballasts were. I do have a set of computer fans that I put on top of the fixture to draw heat from the center areas.

  7. Small update.

Since we went with no-name cheap LEDs from China, I had had to replace a few panels over the past 18 months.

I think the first 2 panels went out after 8 months or so, but since I bought extra ($4/ea) it was a 5min job to re-do.

A couple more panels went out right before this past Christmas and I just left the actinics off for a while. I was contemplating re-doing everything with CREE LED's, but just didn't get around to it.

Last month one output of my Dual MH ballast stopped working so I had this guy off the tank for a while. I finally found two MH ballasts that I liked and while we were re-wiring those I went ahead and replaced the other actinic panels that were bad. Again, 3 more panels at $4/ea.

I acquired some UV LEDs from Jeremy a little while back and bought another driver, so we installed those today as well. Pretty sure they are 3w UV Violet @ 410-420nm. Put in 8 of those on their own driver/switch.

We also installed some tiny fans blowing over the heatsinks to help cool. I'm not sure what caused the previous LED panels to fail, might as well help cool down the new ones.

No pics of the fixture turned on, since actinic shots are already near impossible, UV shots are even worse. I'll take some FTS when the MH are scheduled back on.
