Just curious about what is the best thing to feed your corals? I have mainly soft corals - mushrooms, zoas, frogspawn, brain...... And everything is growing well without much from me. But - I inquired about it at aquatek and they recommended that I use Kent's Coral-Vite (mixture of Strontium, magnesium, potassium, iodine, calcium etc...) Also recommended the Roti-Feed liquid. Does this sound right? I know that there are A LOT of experienced people on this site and I would love to get some feedback. (I have a 55 gallon with a filter and protein skimmer that hangs off the side) Thanks for the advice! kris

I love the GARF purple bonsai - however - I have a 55 gallon tank with 4 T-5's...... is that enough to keep this guy going? Kris

Cool! Sounds interesting- could you post a picture?the place in my tank where I was planning on putting it would have it touching some of the rock when fully opened- is that ok? Or do they need a totally clear space? thanks!

I found a broken piece of frogspawn floating in my tank. It broke off very close to the 'tentacles' - so there is no trunk. Can I glue it down like that - to a frag disk - or should it be glued onto the trunk of the existing frogspawn? Thanks!

I have a little that is on a rock that is yours for the taking. Unfortunately - the motherlode has spread to my 'base' rocks that I can't/won't move. Let me work with it - maybe I can meet up with you next weekend.......

I purchased some pulsing xenia in September and now it is taking over my tank. At first I was pleased with it's growth - such speed - it sure seemed happy..... but now...... It is covering EVERYTHING! It has attached to large base rocks that I can't get rid of. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried pulling them off - but they seemed to be attached for good. Help - it is ruining my beautiful tank. Kris :0

Thanks for all of the advice. I don't have a refugium. I feed everyone frozen brine and variations of frozen cubes..... I am going to up my cleaning crew and look into an urchin perhaps. I also see some intense weekly water changes. I bought new lights (the tank looks awesome with new bulbs - despite the tufts of green hair.....) Thanks for all of the input. I totally love this web site! Cheers

My system has been running since January. It's a 55gallon with 3 fish and a variety of corals. I have a Nova T5 lighting system. If the bulbs are getting close to a year old.... could this also produce the green hair algae? I have a protein skimmer and an aquaclear filter that hangs on the side of the tank. I don't have turbos- but will get some soon! I appreciate any advice!

I have suddenly started to have a green hair algae issue. What causes this and what is the best clean up crew member for it? (I have a variety of hermits and snails- but they aren't doing a good job)!
