Stacy, I know! Im hoping they will just attach really fast. It looks so ugly with the mesh in the tank. I just started a thread looking for some SPS corals for my 1G so I hope I can find some!!!

Hey everyone! I have a question. I would really like to keep some small SPS frags if possible. They will be less than 2in under under the light, which is a 10W 50/50 bulb. They will be for my 1G so it is 10W per gallon . They will be at the highest part in the tank. If so, what are some good SPS to try? Also, does anyone have any small SPS frags? I will take ANYTHING! The small the better! Since there isnt that much real estate! Here are some pics. If I get any SPS frags they will go at the top of the big rock on the left. Ok cool! Yeah it should color up nicely since it will be at the top with 10W per Gallon. Is there anyway that you could remove it from the piece of rock? Thanks! -Andrew

Cindy, Yeah its fine. Are they fairly easy to remove? I will have to remove them if they are mounted. Just cause they will be going into my 1G, and I am just attaching everything to the main LR. But its not a problem.

Hello everyone! The stuff I ordered finally came in!!! Everything is still opening. The yuma isi about 2in right now but it is still pretty closed up. It is supposed to be about 4in! I also got the sun coral and 4 metallic green shrooms. I just got finished attaching the shrooms to the rock in my 1G. I just used some bridle mesh and rubber bands. About how long does it take for shrooms to attach, and I can remove the mesh?

Really?? That would be awesome! Just let me know what the demensions are. They dont have to be the exact demensions I listed. Also, do you have a light for it too?

Ok. Im thinking about probably using a minijet powerhead to pump the water back from the over flow. Im still trying to figure out the lighting though. Since this tank is gonna be so shallow it cant be too strong. Does anyone know of a good figure that would fit like a 20in + or - a couple inches? Xenia is one of my favorite corals and will be the dominant coral in this tank. I plan to put it all along the top of the rock work. I will also keep som GSP, shrooms, rics, yumas, a duncan, and hopefully a dedro frag.

Ok cool. Could I also just do 2 overflows? One on one end, and one on the other?

Ok. I will probably have to do that. Do I make it coming out of the back, or the other end of the tank(opposite the overflow, blowing straight towards it)? I want to get started on this ASAP.

Ok cool. Thanks! I used the calculator that I found on RC.com and I figured for the tank to about 7in wide by 7in high that the length would need to be about 20in to make it 4.2G. What is the best way to build this tank? What size of acrylic? 1/4in? Also, where is the best place to buy it from? Would an overflow at one end of the tank be the best way for filtration/circulation? -Andrew

Hello everyone! Im redoing my room, and I really want to make a tank to put on a bar desk that I will be building. I want to make a really long tank to go on the desk. I have never made my own tank so I am going to need some help. Also, how would I do filtration/circulation in such a long tank? I would like the tank to be about 5G or less. Whats the easiest way to do this? What if I had an overflow on one end of the tank? Then would I need another powerhead at the other end? I would like it to be about 6in high by 6in wide. But I dont know how long to make it. Is there some way to calculate the volume? I dont know how long to make it, to make it about 5G. Thanks! -Andrew ps- All suggestions welcomed. Im totally open.

Cindy, I will probably take 2 of each, and maybe 3 of the stripped. With the blue speckled shrooms, are they blue with colored speckles? Or is there a solid base color with blue speckles? If so, what color is the base? Thanks! -Andrew
