  4. Sorry for hijacking the thread. Dapettit and Hamp, thank you for your recommendations, I will definitely look into these two items, the ACIII controller and a chiller.
  5. I'm tagging along. Have 2x250 watt mh and 2x24"vho that I plan to use above a 65 gallon tank. If you don't mind me asking, what type of controller do you use for the fans to kick on and off accordingly? Thanks in advance! Edit: My intention is to run as many 80-120mm fans in the canopy as possible both intake and venting.
  6. Pm sent.....interested in purchasing skimmer.
  7. Sorry to hear about your injury. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Btw, what model is the protein skimmer?
  8. I have been eyeballing various equipment for a new set up. Has anyone had any experience with the dual chamber Marine Technical Concepts calcium reactors? I am also researching the Deltec recirculating single chamber as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  9. I have a used, gigantic ASM G-3 Skimmer possibly with sedra pump. I will check the functionality on the pump and update this thread by tomorrow afternoon. The foot print, according to manufacturer specifications is 11"x12". I am currently looking for a smaller footprint, in-sump skimmer. For background information, I have a 65 gallon tank. 12. The Biocube skimmer has a hook where it can hang on one of the walls of the Biocube chamber, I would think maybe 1/8" wide. It also has two suction cups to stick it on a tank wall. The collection cup is approximately 2" tall by 3" wide. Hope this helps!
  13. I have a VHO (48" or less) and 400w MH setup (E39 or E40 socket, I think) and am unable to test them. If anyone has any used, dirt-old bulbs for testing, please let me know. Thanks!
  14. I should have both my a Biocube 8 and Biocube 14 with all accessories, minus livestock, rock, and sand available as soon as I set up my new tank. Pics and equipment shown in the members gallery.
  15. I'm not sure what the policy is on posting links. Sent you a pm with link....
  16. For the nano, I run a Current Sunpod 16.5" with 70w bulb on a Biocube 8 with the Azoo fans (2 x 80mm). I'm anywhere between 76 and 79 degrees and top off 2 cups of ro/di daily. Hope this helps.
  17. I run with the tops off both my BC8 and BC14 because they were running hot even with fan mods. However, if you can't find the hood locally, nanotuners offers a replacement. If you find a hood, let me know, I have extra hood fans with higher cfm that fit the stock locations.
  18. Yes! I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to capture a rare photograph of the elusive 'atx-milli'.
