Ok what is this ? I think I had this as a hitchhiker or something. My tank is a 14 gallon and has been up for 3 months.

It's a brittle star. Harmless little guys that are in most tanks. They scavenge for scraps and detritus. More beneficial than harmful, if anything they can be a nuisance when the population gets too large.

those are good, but if you happen to lose a few in water or filter changes, dont try and save em   I normally take out the ones that get too big and arnt fast enough.  this is one of those "when you see one, you have manymanymany more you dont see" things.
