+dapettit
I'm new to this Calcium Reactor business so I'm not sure if I am asking the right question. I checked the reactor today and noticed what seemed to be a dust build up inside the reactor (see pic). Is this just the CO2 breaking down the media or is this and indicator that it's time to change out the media? TIA, Dave-
+mcallahan
is your reactor top down, or bottom up in terms of flow?
+dapettit
Bottom up. . .
+mcallahan
my guess is that the stuff on the bottom would be small particles that got pushed out of the reactor @ the top, made it back through the pump and got trapped at the bottom of the reactor. I don't know if that means you should change your media tho.
offroadodge
hey Dave, i just changed mine, Had a high KH and very low cal level in effluent so i changed it. If the flow threw ur reactor hasnt changed then you shld be fine. Check the levels on the effluent.
