polarbear
I need to frag my xenia because it's growing really big but is not spreading. I have never done this and was hoping for suggestions. I saw a video on YouTube where a guy used a toothpick to attach the xenia to the rock using a rubberband. Is this a good idea?
Robb in Austin
First off, be thankful it isn't spreading. Pull it off, cut it with a Xacto or scalpel if you have one, scissors, etc. To attach to rock; cover xenia and rock under a holey tupperware. Or get some netting from Walmart and cover it all up. I used rubber bands and made a netting baggie around a piece of rock and a few heads of xenia.

Yeah scissors have always worked for me with great results. I use tool ( the white stuff people use for weddings ) just put that arround, and either super glue or rubberband it to secure the frag till it is attached. You can also stick a toothpick through the stalk and secure the toothpick to the rock with a rubberband, these work very well.
