chark
I made my own fish food and have been feeding more. I have been getting a slight algae problem but the corals are growing great and look good. What would be some suggestions on what to do? I know I could cut back the feeding but then the corals were growing very slow. Hoping for better suggestions. princer7
Granular Ferric Oxide - removes phospates. Heavy skimming may help as well.
chark
Well I run carbon but not gfo. I did a water test tonight and as follows: Ca 540, Alk 9, pH8.2, Mg 1440, nitrates undetectable. I do not have a reliable phosphate test kit. Must have phosphates due to algae growth. Ben thinking about dosing VSV or Zeovit. What is the basic difference? Both shoot for low nutrient system.
