Kelly Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 I am currently setting up a a temperate reef system but have encountered difficulty in obtaining livestock since there are no domestic coldwater suppliers. I would centenly don appropriate gear and collect items myself if we were located near the NE or NW coasts, but since I live in Austin that is not a viable option. Occasionaly a few cold water fish and invertebrates find their way through domestic livestock suppliers but are typically treated as tropical items which induces more stress to the organisms. Can anyone recommend a supplier for temperate reef livestock. We are specifically interested in anemones and starfish but any domestic or international supplier contact information is welcome. our 2009 wish list includes: Beadlet anemone - Actinia equina Strawberry anemone - Actinia fragacea Snakelocks anemone - Anemonia viridis Yellow starfish - Fromia polypor Golden crinoid - Cenolia trichoptera Purple Gorgonian - Calcigorgia spiculifera Sandalled anemone - Actinothoe sphyrodeta Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
